My Poem for December 31st - kyonides - 12-31-2016
Here's my poem written specifically for this very same day, December 31st! I hope you enjoy my humble poem! (And respect my copyright! XP)
The End Of My Cycle

I wake up waiting for a single chance
To find something quite unexpected,
Hoping to exceed my own limits
Or work hard to amaze every mind.
People sometimes retrieve some lost knowledge,
While others come up with new theories;
Both try to correct our perception
Of our world or humankind's nature.
An extra day might be there for us
In case anybody needs more time
To grasp the ephemeral greatness;
What an uncommon present it is!
Please feel free to blame me for those people,
Common and famous living like us,
Whose departure have tore up your soul;
Be grateful for newborns' laughs as well.
One last advice I'd like to offer,
Don't get worried sick about the past,
Just overcome the grieve at all cost;
Fight against odds for those who need you.
After days of joy and disappointment,
My time has come to sleep forever;
Perhaps my follower will succeed,
Where I have sadly failed and succumbed.
