Martin Mais created a tool a few years ago to aid in the creation of (mostly PVGames assets) and generating character sprites, level editing, and a few more necessary items. In my opinion, this was done in the aftermath of the non-communication of the original PVGames Character editor made in Java by Alexander Schmidt. 

One aspect of this software that I personally enjoy is the ability of the software to take cells from specific coordinates of super spritesheets from PVGames 2.5d spritesheets and utilize that to create any number of the poses and similar spritesheets needed for a project. I also believe that with some effort, this MAY be able to be utulized for my own spritesheet format once that gets finalized. As my own project looks to utilize 100 different spritesheets, it could be invaluable to me. 

Currently this tool directly supports assets made by PVGames in the Medieval Series, the Mythos Awakening Series, and the 2.5d system, as well as
- Iknowkingrabbit's (Alexander Makarov's) Heroic Assets series
- Dream Circle's  Animations Select particle systems.
- Laserwolve Games DaggerQuest system
