all self taught on this so far, most of my strength lies in rewriting from a base, and then modifying it. very few things have I actually scripted from scratch.
that makes much more sense now xD

I still do that a lot, if only because it is easier. It's why I like to hang out here; Save-Point has the highest number of bug free scripts out of all of the RPG Maker communities I've seen on the internet.

nope doing the same thing, see's around corners and see's a character in a 7/7 sealed cube of blocks =/
also, had to replace some element.x, object.x's in that second one lol

now remember when you try and look at this, it's rather hodgepodge, the scripting alterations are wherever I want, but none affect the maps, it's all combat algorithms and character stats.

None of your tiles have their Passage (4 dir) flags set which this view range script uses to check if a tile is see through or not. Also you didn't include this script, or a set up to test it in your upload?
