Ideas to Enterbrain for a new maker

Something gives me an idea that Enterbrain might be making an RPG Maker 7 or 8 or something of the likes.

Since VX came to a controversial start (though it wasn't that bad, though one a few major flaws slip out, people won't even try the maker), I was thinking of writing a letter with ideas for the new maker. So maybe you guys could help me gather some up. I won't guarantee this will work, but we could try.

My Ideas:



Charsets:
  • Allow you to assemble frames of a charset individually
  • Keep the hue option (disabled in VX Sad )

Tilesets:
  • Allowing the set tilesize of a character
  • Unlimited Tileset Layers (Layers similar to that of photoshop)
  • Allow you to assemble tiles individually in the maker
  • Allow you to set permissions to certain tiles at once
Events:
  • Allow events to be triggered by Click
  • Allow events to be triggered by a certain key

Battle System:
  • Able to change the size of battle windows in the editor. (Option is possible to disable for scripting)

Can't think of anymore, remember these are just crazy ideas, alright? Happy

Enterbrain seems to like adding features not on other previous makers and remove some that were.
The battle options for rm2k3 was awesome... wished they could make the next rpg maker with most of the previous stuff.

If the next one would be like XP, but including the worldmap and vehicle option, that'd be all I'd ask for.

XP + Small multiplayer options would be cool (for example each member of a party can be a different player who's playing from their own computer)

Maybe the possibility to load multiple tilesets into a map so I don't have to go to my photoshop to merge different tilesets. Then to prevent your maps from loading too slow because of the large tilesets only load the used tiles into your executeable and cut out the unused graphics automatically.

I know this is completely and utterly impossible for them to do in game, since they'd never make the time,
but if they had in-game sprite generator, so you could choose exactly how you wanted your sprite, and a battler graphic generator, that matched.
That would be epicle.

in-game or in-editor? Shouldn't be hard at all ;)

I think they should allow for modification of the editor trough scripts of some sorts. Kindof like plugins for forum softwares. For example it should be possible for a script to add a command to the event command list. Would be really easy to do.

Personaly I want them to work on Audio.
I need more intuitive Audio tools and would love built in plugins and the abiltiy to add plugins.
Also Another feature almost completely ignored is cutscenes.
Id want to have My avi files back into the editor if possible so I can use my drawing skills and be able to Import avis agian without having to worry about script compatibility.

In other words what I want is for them to add every feature that worked in Previous installments and add audio tools and plugins. that way we can modify our games with scripts or plugins.

Lets face it... our mice take abuse... whether we're pixeling entire worlds, laying down funky compositions, or looking at porn, we use our mice 10 times harder than we do a keyboard. In other words, don't remove scripting! It gives me more of an excuse to abuse my keyboard and be a littler nicer to our mice. I suppose older RMs (2k, 2k3) were probably cool without scripting, but every single game design program outside of RM is too *clickly clicky*, and I'm calling out IGM in that list.

Speaking of... while some of the stuff above could be cleverly 'evented', alot of what has been listed can and probably have been re-introduced through a user made script, or will be at some point in time.
