Custom Movement

Custom Movement

Introduction
Users get to customise how the player moves, though it might involve a bit of scripting knowledge. (Don't worry, my script's header goes into a little more detail and is helpful.)

Features
  • Creators can set up how the player would move.

Script
Custom Movement (RMXP)

Custom Movement (RMVXA)

Compatibility
Since this rewrites as well as aliases Game_Player.update (XP)/Game_Player.move_by_input (VX/Ace), this may not be compatible with my Move During Messages script. As for the RMXP version, this may also not be compatible with the RMXP Standard Development Kit.

Author's Notes
When I coming up with a new script, the idea of a "custom movement" script was actually the last thing on my mind. I was going in this intending to make a scripted port of my Resident Evil Movement event system (but better) and then a port of my really old Pacman movement event system.

But later on I thought, "why don't I just turn this into a script that lets people define the player's movements" which was an idea I had in mind for an event system I made around the summer of 2007 but never published.
