To update your version simply download the new version, copy the files in the folder called "Saves" in the old version and insert them into the folder called "Saves" in the new version. If the folder does not exist you must create it.

Plot

The story is about the 4 dimensions: Dystortia, Distortion, Odran and Entopia. You start in Dystortia. The distortions' dimension is ruined, so they broke the void orb which is the thing that controls the distance between the 4 dimensions and makes sure they don't clash together and makes sure nothing escapes the dimensions, the balance crystals are helping the void orb locating the dimensions, you could look at it as a kind of magnetic field. Now the dimensions are in danger of clashing together, the distortions broke the void orb so they could leave their dimension by focusing the balance crystals with void energy. Only very skilled wizards are able to gather the void energy from the void, but entopians are by nature made to be able to move freely between dimensions and then adapt to another dimension, so the distortions can take their void energy (which unfortunately results in death most of the time) and use that, so the entopians are almost extinct.

The distortions are not welcome in other dimensions, so they have to use force to survive. Some have created breeding grounds for monsters and send them into Dystortia to clear the dimension for inhabitants. The king has out of fear heavily reinforced the defenses of the cities and are isolating them from each other. This means high taxes. In Salta City you control a boy/girl who is just trying to live a normal life in this world unaware of the dangers. But of course will be involved.

I am using the RPG Maker VX Ace engine. I am mostly using the rtp resources. I am using the Yanfly sideview battle system.

You can go anywhere almost right off the bat. You can choose to either walk around, pick flowers or hunt in each area.

There is a day and night system, a subclass system, alchemy and much more. My philosophy is play how you want to play and the game is only as complicated as you make it. There are some tutorial books in the game that will help you a lot if you read them.
