I have come to terms with the default battle system, i just wish that rather than selecting actions for the whole turn, i could select them as i perform them. Think someone possibly could write that for me....

For some reason i have this feeling that its a snippet i can just insert directly into scene_battle.....

Tis true. Trickster's Individual Turns Battle System is the closest match. Though his Speed Based Turns CBS may interest you too.
