Nice find! I don't have a microphone but I'm sure this would be interesting when applied to instruments too :D
I just use a pitch corrector. vocoders too.
RosyPosy - This is for people who don't have the technical savvy like you and I. Don't put it down, it does it very well you know? :)
Their pitch shifter is actually really good, keeps the sound very clear.
is this just for voice? or can i make pokemon-esque noises with it?
You speak and it changes the sound using filters and pitch shifters. I don't know what kind of stuff you -can't- make, you should give it a shot.
how can I use this? it wants me to donate before I can download it?
Wow that's new. They're arses, they call it a donation but it's forced. That's not a donation.
Damn, I really wanted to make a wailing cry for that Ahzoh Character I made..
Now how am I gonna make a wailing cry that inspire deep dread and sorrow? the kinds of wail that makes even bravest of men cower in fear..?
There are other ways. I've made a lot of sfx without this software, it was simply a way to make it easier.
What DAW do you use? Can you record audio?
For good monster noises use wet sounds, whispers, groans, growls etc. Layer them together. Add some distortion to that, then add a reverb that simulates a big chest cavity (since that makes it sound powerful, psychoacoustics 101).
