does a script exist for an item or an event to act like a jukebox? I'm looking for something that will let the player play bgms that are unlockable after chapters are completed.

How about using PK8's Evented Playlist System? There are downloadable attachments for both XP and VX.

yeah that was pretty ugly, i don't want to give the player that much control
