The 'CODE' bbcode allows you to use mono-case letters that ASCII art likes to use.

Hey, I think that's cousin Phil!

This can be done with events relatively easily too! :D
Flash images of arrows as a parallele process. "wait" for input, store the wait time in a variable take that away from a total score. If the score reaches 0, you lose so you have to react fast to make sure you don't lose all your points before the end of the song. If you do, you are considered "worse" than the other dancers. Pre-load the mp3/ogg so there's no lag at the start and you can make a bunch of these events to all work together so several arrows can appear at once or next to each other and the player can input each command as and when they come, in order to make things more interesting.

Use a variable which counts up ("wait 10 frames, +1" looped) so all of the events stay in sync with each other and with the song!

Let me know if you need clarification, though I can't make this for you (I've moved away from making games) I can suggest ideas based on my experience making all kinds of crazy systems with events. ^_^

thank you for messaging Laughing but Unfourtunatly theres 2 factors preventing me from doing this Indifferent

A: Ive already tried and failed moserably Sarcasm + Confused
B: DerVVulfman is being AWESOME Grinning and is almost done scripting up a MASTERPEICE! Laughing from what I heard so far its 18X better then I coulda even imagined! so me eventing again now would be a major insult to his work...I'll just keep bumping the ad till its done then I'll request that the thread gets closed ...until then I'll happily bump and wait Grinning
Fair enough, I didn't realise something was definitely in the works. Wooo!
bumping the ad...wondering how a spritesheet for this would look for the motions?
