Nah, it's on purpose so don't be afraid!
As far as I remember this script started as a neat and simple crafting script.
And now we have this script pack with hundreds of features and possibilitys.
I think it is really fascinating how this script developed over time. ^^

Even so I have uploaded a new Kustom XP demo! This time it includes 6 kinds of automatic traps, including losing healing items and picking fights you knew nothing about. What's new about it? The troop ID can be randomly chosen from a custom set of ID's. You can also set a trap code ID to fool anybody trying to open a specific chest!

And yeah, I fixed a bug involving a gold sprite... =_= That's all, guys!
This new version of Kustom XP introduces the clues and tricks a thief might need to learn if he or she wants to open a chest. A good example I could provide here would be learning the :hidden clue and the :fake trick to get access to the hidden chest slots!

I also needed to fix a minimal bug I have found by chance involving some troop ID... =_= You can find the rar file on both websites!

Kustom XP demo version
1.4.3, but I thought it might be a good idea to post them here as well.
You might need to know that chests may include some hidden slots, they can be accessed by the chest Owner only, unless a Thief learns how to open it...
You may only find gold or items stored there.
How does the KChests XP script check whether or not a Chest can be opened by a Thief
- Checks if there are NO TRAPS, if true, there are no rewards! :P
- Looks for a Thief in your team or the party leader if there is none
A hero that is no thief at all will automatically fail later on!
- Checks if the Thief's skill level, if compared with the Chest's difficulty level is high enough to open it.
A Failure triggers the Trap!
- If Clues and Tricks are found in a chest setup, checks if the Thief has heard about those clues and learned all tricks required
- Checks if the Thief is a lucky guy and compares his luck with the chest's own trigger rate
- Rewards Thief, given there was a trap, with a "piece" of that mechanism
By the way, some script calls have changed so go ahead and read all of the script comments for your own good!

Well, I have come to upload the new Kustom XP demo version
1.4.30, yeah, 30. I have rewritten the some parts of the code a few times... Anyway I have included a new Safety Device menu in KChests XP to install one of them on a chest the party already owns. There is a script call to add them to chests currently owned by NPC's. Where can you get such devices? Well, that's an easy question indeed. You only need to go to your favorite store and get one... if they offer any of course.

It will automatically transform the item listed there into a SafetyDevice item. This means you won't find it in your normal item menu.
Melana: What? But... I need to check if I got some device to install it in one of my hundreds of chests at my secret base...
Me: Errr, well, I just couldn't do it for a good reason...

SafetyDevice's are unique items so to say, meaning they could still be improved... Actually you can't improve them via a menu, but the improvement potential is still floating in the air.

Yes, now you can visit your favorite locksmith to make you Fake lids or Padlocks or Passcode Systems and even improve them! Of course improving them might also end up in breaking the item... but you should never sweat, my friends! The locksmith can fix them for you!
