Perhaps some of you have heard about an anime related to the year 2020, well, it's not part of this news article at all. What made me pick that title was the fact this pop corn crisis is happening in 2020. While the anime feature a super computer virus, not the infamous Wuhan virus, this crisis is about farmers being unable to sell their kernels to movie theaters and fairs and other venues. You say, you can store pop corn for about a year before it gets too dry to ever pop up. Since they're about to harvest more corn, this is getting quite troublesome indeed. Some of them were in need of building more silos to store the kernels. Nope, their efforts to sell popcorn to consumers like you and, well, not me because I live abroad hasn't really solved their problem at all.
