It seems to remind me of Metroid Fusion and something else I can't quite remember.

What do you think of my story's backstory, it serves as the premise of my game:
"There were three mage factions that violently opposed each other, but eventually united when they realized, despite their ideological differences, that they had more ideological similarities as well.

They formed a magocratic union called The Triad of Magi whose influence spread across continents.

To spread their influence they formed an Army called Talum Řaẏya.

Eventually the Triad bit more than they could chew and came into opposition with the Qamic Empire. They found themselves in a war against an army whose forces outmatched and outnumbered them.

Desperate to win, the Triad utilized all of their knowledge of teleportation magic to open up a portal to a dimension known as Akrideas so that they could look for resources that they could use to destroy their enemies, especially the elusive "akhmeth", a powerful metal that contains magical properties.

Sending their Talum Řaẏya, they discovered the akhmeth they sought, but they also came across the creatures that inhabited Akrideas, realizing they were the creatures that their ancestors had met long ago, known as the Ḵsinesir.

The Triad and their Talum feared their power and sought to destroy them. The feelings of Ḵsinesir were mutual and, having seen the aggressiveness of the human world, sought to eliminate their presence.

So begins yet another war, but the main story focuses on two brothers, their sister and their childhood friend as they are tasked with ending it once and for all."

I'm having a deja vu moment because I could have sworn I read that before. O_O

I may have forgotten that I already did, either way there was change in the wording of some sentences.

Someone seriously needs to give DerVV an award for amazing work overall.
Not only for keeping up with our weekly news, but also for miracle working in the scripting area. And unbelievable patioence.

I've been working at a haunted house all month, and it's been the most fun. last night, i scare a group, then run around and through a door and scare the group again. some (white) guy says "oh it's you, oh wait maybe not, you people all look the same anyway" i stand up normally, walk over and get right in his face, wearing a bear mask, and yell at him in my normal voice about what he means by "you people" he gets this really horrified look on his face, as white people are wont to do in this country when confronted with racially charged situations, and starts to apologize. i keep yelling at him, and then mid sentence, snap my arms up and growl really loudly in my sewer bear voice at this girl in the group who was trying to sneak by me. she jumped back, and slammed herself right against the wall as she screamed. Last night, i got an old cartridge from one of the scent misters in the slaughterhouse, and rubbed it on my arms. I made people walk under them with their faces right next to where i rubbed the shit smell.

attachment is a recording of me scaring people. they walk around a corner into my area, and i howl down this really long sewer pipe to tease the scare. then i back out a trapdoor panel in the wall, and wait for them to pass by. they're going around in a serpentine corridor right before the scare, so they're looking for me around each corner and not finding me! each time it raises the tension, because they're expecting it to be around the next corner. then they get to an open room, think they're safe, and pow right in the garbanzo.

I'll ditto that. I'm always surprised how he keeps those newspapers rolling on a consistent basis.




Also pranking people and getting paid for it, what a dream job. XD

it's the best everrrrrr. if you listen to the attachment, i scare people like that pretty consistently. the exchange of energy occurring in that moment is what makes it so worthwhile for me.

This is a thought that has bothered me for a while...
The landmass that my story is set in is essentially a desert region like that of North Africa and the Middle East. So naturally, all of my main characters are going to have dark skin colours, except for one Albino.

Can you think of how many people are NOT going to play my game because the main characters are non-white?
