RE: What's up, RMers? - Steel Beast 6Beets - 05-13-2019 Did you create the lock graphic yourself? If so, then its a mighty fine job. RE: What's up, RMers? - DerVVulfman - 05-13-2019 HELL no. It's stock. RE: What's up, RMers? - yamina-chan - 05-13-2019 Heh. This looks like it'll be fun to use. Meanwhile on my end: Love finding new issues in my game that I didn't know where a thing - or that I'm pretty sure weren't a thing in the past XD' Like how having more than one save file somehow messes with the save menu, and if you scroll up enough in it the game crashes. I'm also pretty sure that I used to have a script that would fade out my battle result window to black first and then to the map from there, and the victory ME would fade out along with it but that's not in my project file, so that's not a thing anymore aparently, haha. RE: What's up, RMers? - yamina-chan - 05-18-2019 Looks like we will be loosing yet an other comunity to time very soon. =/ Game Dev Unlimited is closing down. Well... I know what I'll be spending my time tomorrow with I suppose. On an other note, I've gone and started to mess around with MV again to get used to that one. And, like with all other makers, there's really neat things I wish the others would have... and yet there's also so much that seems missing haha. The usual. Edit: Oh, and looks like the scripts from littledrago are also no longer obtainable. Boo. =/ RE: What's up, RMers? - DerVVulfman - 05-19-2019 GameDeV Unlimited.... I talked to some people there and there have been a number of glitches that have gone unrepaired. I tried to ask about a number, but I was told that no one who worked on the site's layout seemed to be around. Or one who was there was no longer staff. EDIT: It seems that LiTTleDRAgo 's Blogspot site changed its url from .Co to .Com, and the Save Layout and Message Log topics were not updated with the correct address. Fixed em up, and checked some pastebin links he had. There shouldn't be any problem now. RE: What's up, RMers? - yamina-chan - 05-19-2019 Huh. So looks like I manged to click only the pastebin links on his site that aren't working and none of the ones that are working haha. RE: What's up, RMers? - yamina-chan - 05-20-2019 Found the script I was looking for stored somewhere else, so that's something, heh. Even if the link no longer woks haha. Next step: trying to make Fantasist "Temp Save" compatible with the version of "Law's Custom Save System" that I use. So far it looks like they don't want to play nicely. Edit: A crap. I've been going through GDU in an atempt to grab whatever is still left before the site shuts down since no exact ETA was given and it looks like a lot of the scripts that were hosted on-site are allready gone =/ If it doesn't have a demo or an external link it's just not there. Not even the wayback machine can help, even for the pages that are archived. That's depressing; just a few days ago I was on there and so thankfull that that site still had a script for something that was gone from all other sources. SadFace. RE: What's up, RMers? - yamina-chan - 05-28-2019 Third post in a row now, I know but I REALLY DON'T LIKE HOW THE MV TILESETS WORK! I've been trying to convert something to them all night and I swear they don't make any sense! And are just making it harder! And more limited! Bloddy Hell! Why couldn't they have stuck with the XP format, that was so much better. A lot easier to understand, a lot more flexible and customizable, your choice what goes on what layer when... It's just making me angry! XD' Please, someone share something about something going well in your project! RE: What's up, RMers? - DerVVulfman - 05-29-2019 (05-28-2019, 05:44 AM)yamina-chan Wrote: Why couldn't they have stuck with the XP format, that was so much better. A lot easier to understand, a lot more flexible and customizable, your choice what goes on what layer when... Yeah, and ruin their autonomy? After RPGMaker 2000... everyone went to using 16x16 tilesets in their graphics, especially after the Mack and Blue sets came out. And after RPGMaker XP, every engine out there started using 32x32 tilesets. HAHAHA... let's hope that no one else uses 48x48 tiles and show enterbrain that THIE format isn't well received. Taking a wee break after working on Lani's Locks... I'm soon to return to the Lycan ABS and solve my issue with 'companions' using delayed stance poses. But be forewarned that someone asked me about an old script called "Zephren's Timed Hits addon" which has (in my viewpoint) a few issues... cannot use skills from the main menu, and prevents various skill options. RE: What's up, RMers? - yamina-chan - 05-29-2019 Heh. But revisiting old projects can be fun sometimes. ^^ |
