I can't wait to go back to the XP once this project is done xD It's not even that it's throwing problems my way, I get that. Diffrent engine and all, learning what's changed... all that fun stuff that makes it fun to work with the diffrent versions in the series! But the fact that a plugin acts diffrently in one project than it does in an other, even though they are identical in every sense and there are no other plugins interfearing with it... that honestly boggles my mind. RE: What's up, RMers? - kyonides - 06-11-2019 As of late I've been fiddling with the idea of making a mini game that would tell the strange story of a girl. The game would be entitled "Wyvern Age: Origins" and would probably feature a Silly wyvern that arrives at a world that seemed to be in balance but everything goes wrong after she started speaking! Or growling... As usual the game would also sport a terrible villain! I'm still unsure if it should be like Kustom Town's Trickster or any other kind of mastermind. Even so the main question remains unanswered... Will that newcomer wyvern save or doom her race? P.S. I obviously lack the sprites that would resemble the wyverns so don't expect it to be some sort of AAA videogame! RE: What's up, RMers? - DerVVulfman - 06-12-2019 So MAKE them. I made a kickin' Lani sprite! YOU CAN DO IT SHARKY!!! Okay, I've been on the hunt for another lost script of the ages.... one that disables the ALT+ENTER combination. I think I'm close (gonna download the demo now), but it's in RPGMaker VXAce and ... well... I don't have VXAce. But it holds promise (including blocking F12). I'll be darned if I remember where I saw it, though XD' I've been going through way too many recources lately in trying to get this project to work, I don't think I'd be able to tell where I saw what or who I talked to about what XD' RE: What's up, RMers? - DerVVulfman - 06-13-2019 Well, since RPGMaker's native Input.trigger? and Input.press? can only detect ONE keystroke at a time, testing multiples such as ALT and ENTER at the same time is outside its perview. It would need to be built into the actual C+ hidden class or use an outside DLL that can catch the presses early on. While some inventive people like Reborn (2015 at HBGames) tried to craft script-only scripts, I haven't found any that didn't work without a dll. FORTUNATELY, I found one that has a DLL! And now Chainsawkitten's feature is now posted in the Scripts Database. RE: What's up, RMers? - DerVVulfman - 06-21-2019 Hey, about Chainsawkitten's script/dll combination? I changed my 'main' script to make a game begin fullscreen immediately, and ensure Alt+Enter doesn't work 100% immediately. Code: begin Now can ya change your game from fullscreen to windowed afterwards? Heck yeah. I set up nothing more then ... an EVENT to do it. Code: @Script: Win32API.new("System/F1AltEnterF12", Yeah, in a script call, you need to give it a 1-frame delay between actions. Sound fun? RE: What's up, RMers? - kyonides - 06-23-2019 Perhaps I should include a Ruby script call in HiddenChest to disable the Alt+Enter key combo of disfigurement! I've been thinking on playing Romancing SaGa so I started playing it on my cellphone while waiting for a medical appointment and last night I played it on Linux. Still, I can't accept the weird fact that every time your characters level up stats, they kick the air out of the blue and a bubble tells you something moronic like Compassion Up! =_= I just killed a few monsters and my fellas' compassion raised? O_o? So if wulfo showed up there, I should kill him a la Grimm? I DO NEED CLARIFICATION HERE! Seriously, I doubt I'd ever include such a ridiculous feature unless I'm mocking them to make people laugh at those programmers. Oh, and I would make it for VX Ace to disappoint, on purpose, a YuGiOh fan that visits us every so often. Then I wouldn't tell Melana where to download the latest version of the demo! Yeah, I'm quite friendly indeed. |
