RE: Furries - Python Blue - 07-09-2012 What is that supposed to mean? If that's directed at furries, then I need to say that I don't consider myself one at all. :P RE: Furries - MetalRenard - 07-09-2012 Kasper, you're such a troll. XD RE: Furries - Taylor - 07-09-2012 Oh I'm certainly nuts. Unrelated to my Schroedinger's Furriness though. RE: Furries - MetalRenard - 07-09-2012 I consider myself to be "weird" but not "nuts". :P RE: Furries - MetalRenard - 07-09-2012 Hey, I'm a fox because I'm a fox. My name came before anything else. I'm even considering changing my REAL surname to Reynard! RE: Furries - MetalRenard - 07-09-2012 Bleh, "sam" is a stupid name. Doesn't suit me at all. Boring, no character. Reynard as a surname anyway, not first name. I have another name for a first name but I won't share that here. :P RE: Furries - Cloak of Laser Cannon - 07-09-2012 People who hate "furries" are people who didn't grow up with stuff like Duck Tales, Rescue Rangers, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Swat Kats, etc. apparently. So, Python Blue, if you like reptiles better than mammals, would that make you a "scaley"? lol, sorry. But gosh, reptile people can be so cool, but outside of the Ninja Turtles, they are almost ALWAYS evil! And in the worst ways! It's very frustrating, people act like lizards and snakes are like the evilest things around. That's one thing I liked about Kung Fu Panda, actually...Viper (I thought her name was just Snake, but it's Viper apparently) was like, supposed to be a quiet, "pretty" character, she's like, probably the nicest character in the movie I think. Really different from the usual stereotype of "snakes are evil, deceptive, and sadistic!" Hmm...speaking of negative stereotypes...that's what the word "furry" usually entails. (oh, pun soooo intended) RE: Furries - Python Blue - 07-09-2012 (07-09-2012, 10:41 AM)Cloak of Laser Cannon Wrote: People who hate "furries" are people who didn't grow up with stuff like Duck Tales, Rescue Rangers, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Swat Kats, etc. apparently.Indeed. XD There actually is a word for reptile people, actually, and you were at least close in spelling. Even in TMNT, though; there seems to be confusion among each generation of series as to whether Leatherhead, who's a gator, is evil. Don't forget Dreamworks' other recent success: How to Train Your Dragon. ;) As for the main topic, you certainly may be right that I'm relying on a negative stereotype. Fact remains that it's a popular stereotype, though. :P RE: Furries - Samven - 07-09-2012 (07-09-2012, 05:21 AM)MetalRenard Wrote: Bleh, "sam" is a stupid name. Doesn't suit me at all. Boring, no character. You fool! Sam is not just a name. It's a symbol of excellence. Of being a human dynamo of pure, undefiled creative energy. When your name is Sam, you are awesome. Why? Because you can't spell "awesome" without "Sam". You're not some dull, characterless Norman Greysuit with a balding head and a future in Advanced Accountancy. YOU ARE A MEMBER OF TEAM AWESOME. YOU! ARE! AWESAM! When the world turns its back on you, you don't turn your back on the world! You make the world turn around, kick it in the bollocks and tell it to man the hell up! You are one of the few with the strength of character and name required to take lesser mortals aside and bright-slap them every time they start whining, looking them dead in the eye and shouting, "You're not some silver-haired, faux-nihilistic ambiguously-gendered douchebag who wants to abandon all of reality to its demise because of their deep-seated parental issues! YOU HAVE THE POTENTIAL TO BE AWESOME. YOU HAVE THE POTENTIAL TO BE ON TEAM AWESOME. All you have to do is follow my lead, obey my commands and watch as The One Who Is Awesam, standing before you, leads you to the most GLORIOUS OF VICTORIOUS GLORY!!!" So, about dem furries... Eh. Don't get it, don't particularly care one way or the other and as such I'm not particularly by it. Live and let live. Unless they're the one who wrote The Tempation of Edward Cullen, in which case... KNIIIIIVVEEESSSS!! RE: Furries - MetalRenard - 07-09-2012 *rolls on floor laughing* Sadly, you can't spell "same" without "Sam" either. So your argument is invalid since it has a spelling mistake too. T-T As for furries I agr... DUCK TALES. OH MY I USED TO LOVE THAT OH WOW. *coughs and splutters* *straightens tie* ... Agreeee.... Don't follow the stereo type. The revolution starts with you Python Blue! |
