Well, I finally uploaded the new version of Kustom XP, now it sports a way to activate gem slots via the GemStoneMenu and GemEquipMenu scenes. I also had to smash some other bugs, but I think it should be quite reliable nowadays. By the way, I only updated the attachment found in the main post of this thread, I had no time to deal with file sharing sites connectivity issues. Tongue sticking out

Right, I confirmed you can get gemstones on weapons and armors, provided you have equipped a customized piece of equipment and not the generic stuff...

I have uploaded a new version of Kustom XP, as an attachment once again, where you will be able to sharpen your weapons or strengthen your shields at will... or till the smith considers he has already reached his limits! Tongue sticking out Gladly I did not make a lot of changes this time, but it is always a good idea not to keep previously saved game data in your game projects after any script modification.

This is really cool.

The only errors I've found so far appear when you don't have unique equipment and push some buttons in the menus. The game crashes then.

Well, they are more than I ever expected to learn about, but I do think the next release will solve many issues and add interesting features and sport new weird situations where Aluxes shows his true colors [Image: tongue.gif]

After the latest upload...

My demo now features a custom Title Logo! (Check out the attachment as usual lately...)

Well, now both smiths and techs can open a bottle of champagne for every single customized weapon or armor they make because they are now able to name it in very curious ways, i.e. a laser gun named Green Laser Gun will end up being called Green Laser Gun Botan, or a smith can upgrade a Bronze Sword once and it will become a Bronze Sword Bastard Tongue sticking out Obviously you can change that in the KWork module at any time.

By the way, we could say my demo now includes a few easter eggs or the closest I could get to make some of them, one sports one kind of new GUI feature!

I think I have fixed a reduced number of bugs in two of the three main demo scripts, I hope there are none left...

Well, people I got to admit I have found a tiny bug in my KWorkshop XP Kustom script, in my case it was found in line 238 where you can read [obj.id] when the brackets should contain eq.id instead... If you ignore my warning, you will see that some Bronze Sword might become a Mithril Sword Tiger when my script should never allow you to do that... Confused

Feel free to later go up to the top of the script and change the script version so it would say 1.2.9 at the end, he, he. Tongue sticking out

What can I say? I have collected a few nasty bug reports and had to do something with it, sometimes smashing them is a pain... Anyway I managed to solve them as far as I can see. Honestly I have not included any new features in these release, I just focused on stabilizing the code so to say. OK, I do not know what else I can add to the current list of features so that is why I did not do it. Tongue sticking out

I've found a bug when selling weapons and armors. You can sell them endlessly. They don't get removed from the inventory. ^^

Edit: And the status window doesn't show the altered name of an equipment piece after sharpening it.

And maybe an idea for a new scriptcall that makes it possible to set presharpened weapons. When a new hero joins the party who already should have upgraded equiment.

Well, I'm sorry for showing up to disappoint you, but you won't be able to keep selling them forever and ever anymore Tongue sticking out

I did not implement your suggestion the way you wanted, even so you can now add upgraded swords or shields via script call.

Kustom.make_good_armor(100,12)

Then go to the Equipment menu and just make any hero start wearing it! Tongue sticking out

Don't forget to add that piece of equipment to their class weapon or armor set!

The selling bug still exists for me in the latest version.
When I buy 2 Bronze Swords from the vendor I can sell them endlessly to generate money.^^

Don't be so glad about that, Melana, I now hope my latest XP demo includes the shop bug fix that it badly needed to prevent your heroes from getting rich by selling fake stuff to a poor shopkeeper! She is a poor victim being badly abused by unscrupulous heroes! Sad (I wonder why I did not include a prison for Aluxes and company...)
