As you might have noticed by now, I have updated KScenario XP once again! This time I made some minor changes to the previous code plus added a few extra features as well! Do you want to know what I am talking about? Then take a look at these curious screenshots! But now you'll get... The frame or box where you can read "Are you really sure?" can be customized, meaning you can replace it with a custom backdrop if deemed necessary. Just go to the CHOICE_BACKDROP Constant and assign it any filename like 'my miraculous backdrop' and that is all you need to do! Of course, you should keep in mind that such backdrop should be 240 px wide and 80 px high. The REPLY_BACKDROP Constant will do the same for the hero's final reply, its dimensions are 460 x 116 px. By the way, I have modified the hero templates once again... Ooops! I almost forgot to mention this! Melana, you shouldn't be mistreating people just like that! It does tell you how much extra gold you will get for choosing any specific location and it will show you how much time is left before the hero's reply disappears and he is automatically sent to the first map! I know, it is not what you might have expected from me, but I am out of ideas right now. RE: KScenario XP - kyonides - 06-29-2019 As you may notice I have changed KScenario's GUI a little bit and it works quite well on both 640x480 and 800x600 resolutions. It does feature the items your hero might obtain if you ever choose him. Keep in mind you will randomly get one of those items or weapons or armor pieces. And yeah, to prevent people from thinking the final reply takes too long to disappear, I have added a small timer below it! Remember I have modified the hero's template once again to include items now so don't forget to update those text files! RE: KScenario XP - Mel - 06-29-2019 These new improvements are really cool. Well, I had to update KScenario XP once again to fix the placement of the destinations in resolutions higher than 800 px wide. Before the name label and the picture didn't match so I had to find the bug and smash it as soon as possible. Now it's done so you can safely fiddle with my script even if you play with a screen resolution of 1280x768 or 1680x1050 or whatever. @Melana: Who says everybody fears her? O_o? She might be tough but that doesn't mean she can be trusted nor left on her own... RE: KScenario XP - kyonides - 07-01-2019 Version 1.0.10 is now available, guys!
It just happens that I forgot to include a script call to give any items to the hero's party so no items could be obtained at all. And I never reset the frame count to zero so it would look like your story would have taken a long time to unfold as stated on the last part of my script. Gladly, this version already includes the corresponding fixes so you shouldn't have to worry about it anymore. By the way, the heroes weren't sorted by ID as I had expected so I changed that recently to make sure you'll always get whatever you want. The heroes' list can be sorted normally or even randomly. Once the KScenario.rxdata file has been created, it won't ever change, unless you delete the file manually... |
