RE: Windows 10 IS Unsafe! - kyonides - 01-24-2020 Yeah, you're talking about a live usb, but it's also possible with a live DVD as well. Even so this topic is about serious issues found in Windows 10 and some other nasty surprises you may meet there as well... RE: Windows 10 IS Unsafe! - kyonides - 01-24-2020 https://www.linuxexperten.com/news/germany-pays-886000-windows-7-esu-fees-2020 Since the article I posted above handles both Windows 7 and 10, I can leave it there and tell you this: it's not worth making such payments. It's almost like a scam. Go pick Windows 8.1 or start using Linux if possible for it's free by nature. RE: Windows 10 IS Unsafe! - KDC - 01-26-2020 Wow. Germany trusts Windows 7 more than Windows 8 or Windows 10. RE: Windows 10 IS Unsafe! - kyonides - 01-26-2020 Nah, it isn't about trust. You see, purchasing new licenses for newer versions of any Windows OS as a government isn't cheap at all. RE: Windows 10 IS Unsafe! - kyonides - 02-11-2020 Suspicions Along With Anger Towards Microsoft Rises https://www.linuxexperten.com/news/suspicions-along-anger-towards-microsoft-rises It seems you can no longer search your local files without connecting to MS servers first. You gotta learn how to hack your Win10 registry to get rid of such a buggy service O_O because MS official fix doesn't work on every PC with Win10 installed on it... Windows 10 Start Menu Harasses Firefox Users https://www.linuxexperten.com/news/windows-10-start-menu-harasses-firefox-users If you love Firefox but you've got Win10, MS will keep hitting your head with an ad asking you to use Edge instead. =_= RE: Windows 10 IS Unsafe! - kyonides - 02-17-2020 Beware the KB4532693 Update!

RE: Windows 10 IS Unsafe! - Bounty Hunter Lani - 02-17-2020 Windows forgot how to update things over the years, apparently. They're rolling out updates to "Fix bugs" in Windows 7, but they're breaking things instead. They're constantly rolling out Windows 10 updates, but they're constantly breaking things instead. Rumor has it, they may make a new OS after Windows 10 after all. How much do you wanna bet they still won't be able to update it properly after all these years of experience? RE: Windows 10 IS Unsafe! - kyonides - 02-26-2020 Microsoft wants to remove Windows 10 local accounts
Did you ever think my previous post was the last time you'd hear from Windows 10? Guess what? You were wrong! Since Windows 8 or 8.1, the OS had two choices to create an account that would let you use Windows as usual. One would be the online account, forcing you to always stay online before logging into the OS, and the local account that works offline or it just doesn't ask you to be online at that point. MS now wants to get rid of the local account even if it's a highly reliable option. Especially for system administrators. This doesn't mean there's no way to create a local account in Windows 10, after the 1903 update, but it really makes it excessively complicated for just logging in. It forces you to use an MS account and then get in and setup a local account. To use it, you'd need to log out and back in to be recognized as a valid local user with a local account. Read the articles below to find instructions on how to create a new local account the Windows 10 - 1903 way.
