RE: What's up, RMers? - DerVVulfman - 11-06-2021 Well, back to coding. And the requests that have been made. Rzrcoon hasn't been by for a while, so that request had to be tabled. So for now, I have TWO requests by two different members. *shrugs* I'm a sucker for the ladies I guess. The first is a hybrid element(fire/water) Skill tree system. Its interesting and forces the player to choose their preferences in magical combat. The second request... she hasn't told me as yet, knowing I'm working on this. But patient. RE: What's up, RMers? - kyonides - 11-06-2021 And the winner is: Steampunk returns! Something makes me think he's talking about a single forumer there. I do suspect I've lost my inspiration. Right now I can only believe it's my gov's fault for not letting me spend some good time in the "virtual world" as usual. Yeah, some tasks also kept me forgetting recurrently what I was expecting to work on once I got some spare time as to relax and get creative or loose. Does beer kill the mood? I'm afraid it gotta be true here. At the same time I have come up with 3 different plots where Alex Comey aka Aluxes would learn what fate has prepared for a sucker like him. I know I'm not very original at all but that was all I'd ever think off. RE: What's up, RMers? - Steel Beast 6Beets - 11-08-2021 I decided that rather than doing several small maps for the dungeons of my game, I'd just make a single, big honking map and put everything on it I also decided to retroactively apply this to all the previous dungeons when possible. The old maps will be recycled into new places as soon as it is needed. RE: What's up, RMers? - Remi-chan - 11-21-2021 I was going to wait for Pj's return before posting here again but alas, I've been waiting too long and the amount of work I've done has stacked up enough to merit his involvement unnecessary! Fantasia Scene 16: Clips Big thanks to Coyotecraft from HBgames for the Lilac grave animation work! As well as my friend PhoenixAstra for the wholesome sisters shot! This one uses edits of Pjcr's submitted files. Displacing the Jade Devil Tiramisa's boss fight is complete, voice acting aside. White Apple The battle with Sacreblu while being possessed by her DENUI: Eve. The name is a biblical play on Eve and the Apple, while Sacreblu's ENNUI Lilith who represents love would be offering said apple. White for context, is a color associated with love, while pitch black is hatred. White Apple in this context refers to a Gift of Love. In the fight, "Eden" or the garden of the Gods is also mentioned in the super attack of Eve. Eden in the cosmos refers to the source universe of the cosmos where Satanifa, the Twins, the Seers of Eld and mortals dwelt in harmonious coexistence before the greed and desire of mortals began influencing Satanifa... leading to her rebelliong. The consequent reprisal of which unleashed a blast so destructive it expanded the cosmos to immense proportions and set a sort of continued generation into motion. The original Eden was sealed within what becomes the Afterworld, while the Cosmos is segregated into its uniform XADRANTS to control the expansion.. With all this, the main story content for disk 2, sans Fantasia Scene 16-- is complete! I also implemented the portraits for Amberina and Patricia- as well as Agrat Bat Mahlat! Mwah~ RE: What's up, RMers? - Charlie Fleed - 11-26-2021 Good stuff guys, good stuff. The days of RPG Maker are in the past for me, I started working with Unity. I wanted to post my prototype of an XCOM style game. The video is already a bit old and I have a few more features and a slightly more polished look, but it is still representative of what I have got. Does anybody here work with Unity at all? RE: What's up, RMers? - DerVVulfman - 11-26-2021 A few. And Tsunami uses Ren'Py. And I have 'tags' for UNITY projects and script demos. RE: What's up, RMers? - Remi-chan - 12-05-2021 Sup you fuckin' nerds LMAO <bleep sound effect> Urban dissension aside I have been more productive lately, in fact! I can now show you the only boss i couldn't prior due to an unspoken NDA. Battle with the Partymaster Please enjoy it~! Pjcr is back on some level, and has gotten me a couple new portraits, however- i will withhold these until I have more to share collectively! RE: What's up, RMers? - Remi-chan - 12-13-2021 "Endless conflict, guiltless abandon... all that which lives is destined to die. Rapture leads to ruin- as the cosmos tears at the scenes, those hardened by years of strife and those not- do battle to preserve all they claim to hold dear. The simulation rent by the wanton desire in their hearts, entitled ambition overshadowing the rules installed by mercy-deaf gods. The very fabric of reality begins to fray as conflict spreads to engulf the realm, its erstwhile rulers fade and wend t'wards the morrow- bleak and despoiled." RE: What's up, RMers? - DerVVulfman - 12-17-2021 Work work work work work...... One software requester got plenty done, enough that I can begin work for a second requester. Hopefully, things may be more straight forward. RE: What's up, RMers? - Kain Nobel - 12-22-2021 I've just completed the programming and animation work for Walk, Run, Crawl, Leap, Shimmy, Tightrope, Climb (Ladder). Swim and Breaststroke are on the 'to-do' list but they're pretty far on the bottom for now. I'm exactly halfway through writing a Quality Assurance checklist for every system and sub-system in my top secret magnum opus game project. About a quarter of the way through, I had discovered a serious foundational error in the project that required a rewrite of 27 different sub-systems and caused nightmares for weeks. I had mysterious 'ghost' errors for years (first recorded in June 7th, 2008) but they were extremely rare and nearly impossible to trace as I could never seem to re-trigger the problem on purpose - ever. I conquered it last Tuesday and everything makes total sense now, average 58 FPS and reasonably stable with all my teeth and a full set of hair. I will begin running a QA each year, biannually, and it will get more and more thorough as time goes on, with future applicable automated test units, even more rigorous test scenarios, and a profiling unit to ensure a smooth and stable experience. Break the system, identify the problem, improve the implementation and CHECK - NEXT! |
