RE: What's up, RMers? - Kain Nobel - 12-31-2022 New music uploaded to the YouTube channel! Everything I've posted can also be found here. Logo / After Hours (Title) / Better Be Careful Shrouded in Darkness "After Hours" is the title theme and is the only track that uses keyboards. "Better Be Careful" is paired with this track because they share the same drum and bass (the theme of the 1st map in the game, respectfully.) Trivia: The end part of "After Hours" is also the leitmotif for "Ambushed!" "Shrouded in Darkness" is my longest track, but this version has been cut down considerably (just so the album doesn't run past the 84 minute mark.) This version is only 6 minutes and 50 seconds, but the full suite is roughly 20 minutes. When I reissue this track in the future, I'll issue the whole thing as a dedicated EP and they'll be broken down into "Acts". (I do have an EP planned next year, but it's not the "Shrouded in Darkness" EP - something completely new and outside the normal parameters of what I've already done.) RE: What's up, RMers? - Kain Nobel - 01-01-2023 Happy New Year! ...Also... BREAKING NEWS! The Kain Nobel "Lightning Strikes" album is complete and all tracks have been uploaded! Once again, all the videos are on this thread (here) and on my YouTube page (here). The album playlist on YouTube has now been compiled (here). Please like, subscribe and spread the vibes. Yes, I do have a checklist of things I want to redo with it, and I may improve and re-issue it in the future. However, for all intents and purposes, I'm considering it complete and finished. I'm checking this off the bucket list and marking it on the calendar as my first official publicly released album and I hope ya'll enjoy it. Special thanks to all the musical friends I've met who've inspired me throughout the years; Tomas, Sophia Blue, Eric Matayas, Mega Man Axe, Metal Renard, Trevor Field, Kain Vinosec and many others who I appreciate and from whom I may have learned a thing or two from. You're all so very talented and I'm proud to have met and talked with many of you, and I'm sure there are some people I forgot to name. Big thanks and much love to everybody here, once again talented in so many ways and I feed off it like a vampire. Also a big thanks to my own family who've put up with my shit throughout the years. Much love. Last but not least, I'd like to thank our fearless leader DerVVulfman for hosting this digital concert here. God bless and thank you for always being there for us all. Take care and I wish ya'll the greatest of New Years! (I know things are looking bleak, in many respects, but I think we'll get through this shit.) With that said, I'm on a development hiatus until June. In the meantime, now it's time to focus on double jobbing it to catch up with this crazy economy. (This post is an edit. I wasn't expecting all the tracks to be uploaded today. I'm keeping the original post in the spoiler below.) Old Post RE: What's up, RMers? - kyonides - 01-03-2023 I wanted to ask my fellow forumers if they have ever used Visual Novel Maker by the same gang that made the RM Series and Yami RPG Editor. https://store.steampowered.com/app/1964480/Yami_RPG_Editor/ I gotta admit that the Yami engine is expensive IMHO. By the way, does anybody know where I can find the splash screen characters of all of the RPG Maker series? RE: What's up, RMers? - Remi-chan - 01-04-2023 No. it's trash. Just use Ren'py. Which is free instead of costing over 90 dollars. Also, there's already post icons for Ren'Py projects which helps. RE: What's up, RMers? - kyonides - 01-07-2023 Here is the very first version of my KFactions Menu XP script.
RE: What's up, RMers? - Kain Nobel - 01-07-2023 Having factions is a neat idea. How does it work? Functionally, I'm sure the screen is fine but it needs... something. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ RE: What's up, RMers? - kyonides - 01-08-2023 The Latest Version of KFactions Menu XP is Here!
And concerning its future contents, I gotta say that I entirely ignore what else I can add to this menu.
Call it a scripter's block.
RE: What's up, RMers? - kyonides - 01-09-2023 And just when I thought I had no more inspiration left,
KFactions Menu XP & VX returns with an updated GUI!
So people, what else should I add to this menu?
RE: What's up, RMers? - Kain Nobel - 01-09-2023 Okay, now this is actually really cool! You've knocked it out of the park! Definitely has that Saints Row vibe going on, way better than the Gang values in the GTA San Andreas menu. "Yo, you better be reppin' my hood. Don't get caught slippin' 'roun here widdout the right colors on bro!" Meanwhile, I'm up late as hell not able to sleep. I've got the entire 2023 checklist ready but I almost want to take a (digital) blowtorch to it. I went from getting all my 52 weeks filled in, to having all my 52 weeks filled in, to thinking "Man, I'm ready to do something else. Place it in the digital shredder." Obviously, I'm not going to do that, but that's how I feel LOL. I started doing 52 week checklists a decade ago. Granted, when I started I filled them out quarterly, I didn't fill the entire year. Even this one, I didn't fill the entire year, I always leave the 4th quarter very sparsely populated with the lightest of tasks - and this year is no different. I've been pretty faithful about following these, and completing these, down to the last item - although there is usually something that gets added to the next year. Thankfully, nothing from last year was pushed into this year. Well, except for the items that are carried over from prior years, but those are all big ticket items; build the highly detailed mechanical units (cars, trucks, tanks, planes) [Low Priority] and complete the unfinished battle system [mid priority]. I'm in over my head though and I don't know how committed I'll stay to this stuff. I may just stick to doing music or something, at least it is quick to complete and is a more ready and tangible thing. If I were to release music one by one, I could probably write a track tomorrow and have it finished by Friday. I could record 20 albums in the time it takes to make 1 game (and keep it faithful to the vision.) I think each track, from start to finish, usually takes about a week on average to conceptualize, practice, record and mix. Most of the music I did was finished before Halloween (and I started October 1st so...) (Of course, I do that kind of stuff in batches. I won't go into detail...) I won't be doing that tomorrow, or this week, because I'm still looking for other work. I had one interview and then they were like "well we already found someone." Whatever, I don't even know why they had me come in. To waste time? Do they have a term for that kinda thing? I feel I've been catfished! RE: What's up, RMers? - kyonides - 01-12-2023 I've been wondering as of late if I should add a new feature to KFactions Menu where you can keep a record of any of the leaders' most (in)famous quotations. |
