Dude, Barrett in Final Fantasy VII was black, and people thought he was badass. Winking If people have issues with your game, sucks to be them.

i see that chart of protagonists pretty frequently. they're all 6ft brown haired white guys. but who are games marketed (mostly) to? i think most protagonists are as similar as tey are because we white folk are supposed to relate to them more. when you have women, barrets, angels, children, dragons, etc, they all have a specific function within the story that flows from those differences. if there's no reason for a character to be female or whatever, then they're just the boring generic white guy.

womm: date successful! i asked the costume girl at the haunt out, and we walked around at the mall and talked for a few hours. i get a good feeling from her. i usually go for "weird" girls because im not out just to bang. i have friends that do that, and they're no happier or more fullfilled than i am when im single. weird girls are the best because they're actually capable of appreciating you, as opposed to "just" getting wasted and naked and moving on. my best friend the Muscle Mummy (we're all mummies, it's an old joke) was trying to hook up with another haunt actress, and it just sputtered out because he just wanted to bang.

I made a map that is the south-west portion of a continent and on this portion will be where my culture the Vrkhazhi will reside.
There is some islands that have random blue streaks but that is the fault of the rendering of fractalization in Inkcape because the islands are too small.
It does not have the mountains and the rivers and lakes yet, but it will.

Looks like everyone is working on maps, currently XD
At least I've seen a lot of people talking about it since I decided to redo the worldmap of my own game.

Personally I don't really see a character's race/color being a problem. People in this day and age tend to be more open-minded, especially within the gaming community.

Also about that Phoenix Wright comment Olivia made... XD

@olivia- that's been my observation over a lifetime of gaming going back to the genesis/megadrive era.

got a new gf. she practically fell out of the sky, as i would never have met her if i didn't impulsively A)talk to strangers at the beach, B)learn from stranger about a beach that allowed dogs, C)Found the haunted house that had just this year moved near the dog beach was hiring D)work every day, and as a result get to meet and hang out with her every day.

Well, I need to let out some steam about what it means to be professional.

First off, I'm willing to admit it: I can be unprofessional at times. My emotions can really get in the way of my thinking, no thanks to my having autism, and it's one reason why I have little to no interest in being an established musician.

One thing I've grown enough common sense to avoid now, though, is making scenes out of stuff that shouldn't have been publicized. Meanwhile, a well-established dark synth musician, who shall remain nameless here, only messaged me once, and a while ago, to talk down to me about my past imagery choices and how unprofessional it made me look, only for him to prove himself a hypocrite last night. According to a post he made on his own business page, he almost got accepted for a local publication but then gave the publication the finger because of his Satanic beliefs. Refusing to be publicized by a particular jounal is one thing, but making a scene out of something that wouldn't have been publicly known otherwise is another. :P Saddest part is, many of the people I know are rushing to his support despite his unprofessional beheavior and how it arguably makes him look worse than some of what I've said in the past.

Needless to say, I need some time to calm down. Hopefully will spend some of that time being more productive than he ever will be, including by way of doing my homework for my drawing class...

name one good artist who was a totally normal, socially acceptable person. you can't because there aren't.

I suppose you may be right, as much as I wish to deny it...still, it does suck that it seems you have to be a prick to become famous...

There are plenty of famous artists who aren't arse holes. Maybe you're just looking in the wrong places.
