What's new on this version? Perhaps it's not much but now you should be able to exclude previously chosen heroes if you ever want to let the player come back to this menu! It will work even if the player starts a new game! A new game file will be created that will store all chosen heroes' IDs. Of course, you can disable it via modifying the EXCLUDE_CHOSEN_HEROES Constant at any time during development! true will enable it, guess what false would do there! It happens that I included a new feature, namely the ability to track what heroes have been chosen so far, but forgot to add something in case the player picked a hero but didn't save his game session or there was an unexpected blackout, etc. This version should certainly fix that issue once for all. A Friendly Advice There are no changes in the templates so everything should be fine. Just keep in mind that since version 1.0.10 there some changes to the Ruby class names were made so previous RXDATA files are incompatible with later versions of my script. You got to delete the KScenario.rxdata to force the script to build a new one for you. In case you get any Graphics.width or Graphics.height related issue, copy and paste the script found in Basic Width and Height thread found here in the Scripts section in your script editor and everything should be fine. Exactly when you would never expected this to ever happen, I have uploaded the Gosu version of my script! Yeah, it is working smoothly with BGM's included! Of course, I got to admit that I have not finished implementing it since you can only watch how the first part of the script works. Anyway, that is a huge step forward! Don't you think? O_o? Well, here I am going to leave a screenshot so you can confirm what I have been telling you here. This time I have updated the XP version of my script to let the users show 4 lines of a character's backstory just in case he or she is running a game with a screen resolution higher than 480! Everything gets sorted accordingly, except the face and character's stats that were not touched this time at all. It also sports a new Parser script to read the TXT files found in the KScenario directory. It should be placed AFTER the KScenario XP "main" script. It will always recreate the Data/KScenario.rxdata as long as the parser is still included in your game demo. Remove it before distributing your game! There was a real need to smash a very rare bug here! KScenario would have crashed fatally if I did not update it not long ago. Now you will watch something like what is on the following picture! Now you will not get in troubles for not having setup more heroes to send to mysterious adventures! Sometimes I hate bug reporters for sending me such reports. But I know I cannot blame them for having some aptitude for finding scripting troubles anywhere at anytime. This means my script has reached the 1.0.15 milestone already! As you might have noticed, Gosu's version has improved a lot lately and it does look as feature complete as the XP version! New Featurettes The player won't be able to check the heroes' list if they aren't any left to start playing with. This is also valid for Gosu! I have setup new script calls you can use in game in case you need to check who was chosen and what destination he picked back then. This is also valid for Gosu! In Gosu what I call the reply box (where you can read Arylianas's reply) is 40 pixels wider than the one used in XP! Latest Version: 1.0.21 In the latest versions of KScenario XP and Gosu, you can find a mysterious guy that suddenly shows up when no other hero can be found. Who is he? O_o? Is he even alive? Version 1.0.24 After trying to create a functional demo for RMXP, I noticed that I had to change some basic settings like how many Constants were needed to define the scene's BGM and move the addition of the width prefix for the backdrop to the scene's main method to prevent some weird issues from ever taking place. There is no more need for you to create a face method for the RPG::Cache module. The script takes care of that already. Because I simply forgot to download the Gosu resources, I had to improvise and setup a slightly different cast of heroes for this release.
