RE: What's on your mind? - Bounty Hunter Lani - 04-09-2016 It's been a week since Shinsuke Nakamura has shown up in NXT, and he has already had two injuries. Wrestling is dangerous, kids! RE: What's on your mind? - KasperKalamity - 04-10-2016 i used to be a pro wrestler until i decided the constant injuries weren't worth it. you can only get dropped on your head so many times before you forget where you were going with sentences in the middle of them. RE: What's on your mind? - kyonides - 04-18-2016 I was trying to develop some decent character named Brice, some detective, possibly living in a big city in the 80s or 90s, who would need to get some help from another character under somebody else's control to help him solve one or more cases if possible. The idea was to get it ready to start some detective like roleplay, perhaps a light one or why not? We could make it even darker than any existing Batman's story. When I felt my character was kind of ready "to hit the streets" I found out that's the kind of roleplay people don't find interesting. In another words it doesn't seem to be popular online. Sadly this is the only kind of roleplay I could post more than twice on a single roleplay thread, it could be my forte but it looks like I commit my creativity to a long forgotten genre... Since I'm not an English native speaker, posting a character's profile, background story and current environment isn't that easy for me so I had to make some serious effort to get as far as I could there just to suddenly learn that there's no chance I can develop such story at all. It's frustrating even if it is stupid to get frustrated by letting go some non commercial story and character. RE: What's on your mind? - kyonides - 04-23-2016 Man, I'm the What's on your mind mood killer! I just stayed awake from 12 am to 6 am because I was chatting with a gal about music and movies and guess what? Most of her favorite songs and movies were pretty much unknown to me. Was I living under a rock or in Antarctica for the last couple of decades? Or am I just another guy that doesn't know a thing about girls' taste for music and movies? And why the hell was I staying up late at night? Or morning... RE: What's on your mind? - Mel - 04-23-2016 I think there are just too many different kinds of music and movies to know all of them especially if you look behind the typical mainstream stuff which everyone knows. RE: What's on your mind? - Bounty Hunter Lani - 04-25-2016 My state votes tomorrow. The polling place is right next to my house. That should make it easy for my mother to get there and vote quickly and easily VOTE4BATMAN2016! RE: What's on your mind? - KasperKalamity - 04-26-2016 NOOOO VOTE FOR THE ONLY CITRUS THAT WILL START A NUCLEAR WAR! THAT'LL SHOW EM WHO'S IN CHARGE. AMERICA, THAT'S WHO. DOODOODOODOO MCDONALDS FUCK YEAH! DISNEYLAND FUCK YEAH! BASEBALL FUCK YEAH! FAKE TITS FUCK YEAH! BBQ FUCK YEAH! sportsmanship books RE: What's on your mind? - Kain Nobel - 05-03-2016 I had to laugh the other day at the stupidity of our news media; they were saying something along the line of "the economy is failing because Apple sales are down." WOE IS ME, APPLE SALES ARE DOWN, OMG! I had to flip that sentence in my head as "Apple sales are down because the economy is failing." Really though, we're blaming Apple sales for our failing economy? Did we not have an economy before the invention of the iPhone? Oh, the absurdity, I had no idea! No, prior to the iPhone we used to chuck spears at caribou and purchase loincloths with shiny rocks. To purchase a pair of apple bottom jeans and the boots with the fur, we'd pay our local rickshaw to pull us twenty miles across the misty mountaintops and through the woods until we reached a bustling trading post where the gypsies lived. Before the iPhone, the only way to call grandma was to send her a smoke signal while doing a rain dance under a cherry moon. RE: What's on your mind? - Kain Nobel - 05-04-2016 First the stupid TransCanada Keystone pipeline busts and leaks 16,800 gallons, and now Canada is on fire with 80,000+ residents evacuating their town... I remember some jackasses earlier last year talking about how they were all for building an XL version of the Keystone tar sands pipeline system, but the so-called junior version is already proving to be a disaster. If you're voting for your state election this year, and this pipeline (or the XL pipeline) is/was supported by anybody within your state's administration, make sure to vote them out because these situations are a shame! Oh, I also hear that if you were to go out and protest these pipelines, you'd have been labeled a domestic T-word :( Well ladies and gentlemen, we do indeed have domestic T-words, but they happen to be elected US pork belly officials (and Canadians too :x). Residents and environmentalists called it and it's time to flush these ignoramuses out of the system! If you live in a pipeline city, or a proposed pipeline city, get rid of these dangerous idiots ASAP! Cleaning up environmental disasters... it must be the new Obama/GOP shovel-ready jobs plan :/ ^Another horrible day for US/Canada business relations... and isn't the oil being sold to China anyway? Trump is right, bad deals, bad deals, we're surrounded by nothing but bad deals :| RE: What's on your mind? - kyonides - 05-04-2016 Well, in my country 2 previous administrations supported a new state oil refinery construction project and China would become an important shareholder of the company. 6 to 8 years later millions of dollars were spent in some legal stuff, a lot of international travels, loads of executive lunches among other stupid things. The refinery never became real, it was some sort of ghost company with a large budget, a lot of executives (from my country and China) and not even a single pipe or any silo like kind of structure built anywhere. Now the government is trying to start negotiations with the Chinese to shut down operations of that useless company. Back to my original thoughts... I was trying to offer a better plot for a new roleplay story and I found it quite interesting and not so complicated as my plot about the Maffia chasing some journalist. In the same post I made 2 statements at least so I was expecting one specific answer from anybody interested in my topic. (They might be very few I guess.) Instead of a rational reply, long enough to clarify if they agree with any of the previous statements I only got a "yes". Man, I hate that. It took me several minutes to figure out an useful plot and they think I just deserve some short, stupid answer? Nobody would care if a woman said yes to her fiancée after he pop up the question but you cannot do the same with more detail stuff like a plot for a story! It would be like what an actor would feel like if he asks the director for motivation or context to portray his character correctly and he would only get some "yes" as an answer from his director. Lately I've been dealing with real weirdos that thought you could discuss a plot by just posting your own ideas AND also making all the required characters before both parties could even start roleplaying. Really, I would prefer to kick them out and write a story and why not post it on any website or publish it and sell it as a book or ebook anywhere else. |
