RE: What's up, RMers? - NightOwl - 11-12-2011 Showing up again at work. Hehe. The thief script is still in the works. The optional requirement of having a 'thief' skill works just fine. In fact, you could have different skill levels giving you different bonuses. Now I've started working on a type of 'hide in shadows' feature. Pressing THAT related skill's button makes you virtually transparent. I haven't tied it into any view range script (perfect if you have guards looking for you), but I've begun thinking about messing with certain NPC's 'move route' systems. RE: What's up, RMers? - Kristovski - 11-12-2011 Working on sprites for my game, thinking about just giving up on it and working on them for the community jank that olivia's working on. Anybody want me to make them? RE: What's up, RMers? - KasperKalamity - 11-13-2011 fixed about 80 bugs this morning in my latest (and late) demo. is it bad that i'm starting to dislike my own game? RE: What's up, RMers? - NnsNightshade - 11-14-2011 Working on getting the world maps set up for Fragments so we can start focusing on individual maps. We've got quite raving reviews about our work on some select sites and people are getting really pumped, including us! <3 In just the past few days we've come across one of the most phenomenal composers we've ever heard who wanted to lend us his music talent for the game (And we're aiming to make him well known in the indie gaming industry!), as well as a professional map artist who will likely be helping shape the universe the game is in, both artistically with his cartography as well as in writing (He's already pretty famous in tabletop rpg land lol XD so maybe he'll be making US look good.). You can listen to Gotchi's music here~ http://soundcloud.com/gotchi And to view some of RE's maps~ http://www.rpgnow.com/index.php?filters=0_0_0_0_0&manufacturers_id=3291 http://recklessenthusiasm.deviantart.com/gallery/ Things are just coming along REALLY well. At the advice of others and because of the quite large reception we've been getting, Fragments will be sold commercially when it is all put together. Right now we're working on music and art libraries as well as defining and re-defining the game design document. While we're putting some things together for mock ups in RPG Maker and MMF2 engine, we may hire a programmer or two to build the game for us when the time comes for putting the pieces together. Unfortunately, Ugaki-san is in the hospital after an accident but he'll be rejoining us after he recovers to grace the project with his inspiring art <3 But we're just doing more than well. Its amazing! Painting an interactive worldmap (like click on a place for more info, toggle roads, nation borders and so) for one of my worlds. RE: What's up, RMers? - KasperKalamity - 11-15-2011 nah, i like it and all, its just one area/chapter i hate. its just really messy. i tried to make exploring its own reward, but it just got bloated. i tend to spend time away from it, and when i get back, my knowledge of the program just seems to float away. RE: What's up, RMers? - yamina-chan - 11-16-2011 I'm currently trying to figgure out why a show choices box suddenly decided to go invincible inbetween me testing it once, adding a reply to one of the choices and testing it again. Or better jet: how to get rid of that. It's random glitches like these that trow me of in my timeschedule XD' RE: What's up, RMers? - KasperKalamity - 11-18-2011 im finishing this demo tomorrow if it kills me. sooo close to the finish line, but its so sloppily done that i just want to throw it out the window and crawl under a rock to die. RE: What's up, RMers? - PK8 - 11-18-2011 My laptop has been on its very final last set of legs for a few weeks so I haven't been able to do anything RPG Maker related in quite awhile. Thankfully, I found some portable RPG Makers I could use while I'm at school or at a public library. Unfortunately, I have completely forgotten what I wanted to do after I finished Change Leader and Player's Current Position Indicator. I might have to start from scratch again. RE: What's up, RMers? - Charlie Fleed - 11-19-2011 It looks like I found an artist for the character frames for Hartacon. We're going to start from 3d models and render the frames to be used in the isometric 2d maps. Another artist I have been in contact with for some time is providing a tile for a watchtower and we discussed about interface graphics, menu, icons and so on. This is going to cost me but I want to finish this game and I want professional level graphics. |
