RE: H-Mode7 - edmhotta - 07-04-2013

DerVVulfman can you help us about the H Mode 7?

RE: H-Mode7 - MechanicalPen - 07-04-2013

If you have questions about any script on this forum, go ahead and ask. There's plenty of nice people around who will try to help if they are familiar with the script.

RE: H-Mode7 - Raphael Rpg Games - 07-09-2013

Guys, need a little help here, see these pictures:
As you can see, it seems that the camera is looking down the character so much, I want to know how to "get the camera" in HM7 without you that the map (the [C2]). As you know, if you add this code, the camera will raise according to the tiles that are under it, and I want to know how to get up and leave it "fixed" in this code.
Please, someone already familiar with the cistus codes HM7, give me a soloção to this problem!

4 - I can FLAT events with comments like Neo Mode 7, and insert altitude?

Here some questions. I'm waiting for feedback.
Thanks

RE: H-Mode7 - finalholylight - 07-12-2013

height of 1 layer is 0,1,2,3...32 in pixel, can I make it change to 0,2,4,6...64 (double the height) by edit in script ?

RE: H-Mode7 - JayRay - 09-23-2013

Unfortunately, from what I've seen, I can help with only a little bit of this.
1. Ah the infamous tiles. underneath things.... again, this can be canceled with a basic ground layer
2. Check your Hmap, you might see that there is a line of white in your map
3. The bordering problem of textures at the edge of a map is sadly not currently changeable. however, I have seen where by loosing a layer, and creating a ground TILE for everything, the texture sometimes stick, much like a cross section. But this would drop your total n-layers from 8 to 7
4. From what I understand, Flat eventing is not possible in the current H-Mode 7 manifestation. I would love this to be the case myself, for bridges and whatnot, but sadly it doesn't seem to work like that.
5. No way to change the texture to 64 by default, but you CAN use player zooms to make your characters appear smaller in combination with the tiles.

RE: H-Mode7 - finalholylight - 10-07-2013

I love FLAT event ,too.
Where is MGC ? :( , anybody bring him back , wait for new update of H-mode7.

RE: H-Mode7 - JayRay - 10-07-2013

I don't foresee him allowing flat events on a different altitude any time soon.

As MCG explained it either earlier in this thread or in another thread., the Heightmode is just that, he got it to utilize a displacement map on top of a bit map, much like displacement mapping in 3ds max, with one exception, it's still a flat plane. The sprite of event has no mesh information, neither does the map from what i understand, so a flat event, would still conform to the displacement of the map, generating either a tileset height field or a heightfield from the map. However, with some clever texturing, and camera placement, you can generate the illusion of a bridge, even having other events make your character disappear on one side of a bridge or tunnel and come back once it has moved you to the other side. For another version of flat bridges and such, you might want to look at MCG's Isometric Engine.

I hope this helps explain things clearer

RE: H-Mode7 - JayRay - 12-24-2013

MCG - I would love for you to add three features to this script.

1. The ability to have flat events that follow the heightmap but have alititude, so that we can create the illusion of 3d layers, (Bridges, coverings buildings with ceilings you can go over and under.

2. The ability to have animations run on events in the map.

3. an amalgam of H-Mode7 and FPLE to allow multi level dungeons.

I love your Isometric Map creator two but there's a couple of things I'd like to see in it... First, I know you sort of hardcoded the blocks with simple things like inclines, steps and the like, but I'd like to see the ability to create height or (bump) mapped blocks for more natural looking environments.

I'd even be willing to commision you for pay to do this.

RE: H-Mode7 - Tsaku - 12-25-2013

Has anyone heard from him outside of here?
