The latest demo and its update RAR pack features KUnits Gosu and other related scripts of mine, namely KUnitsAchieve and KUnitsFoes, perhaps a mock of a map now that you can make the characters walk around the place... *** Main Features *** * A functional Change Unit Menu * A menu displaying a party member's achievements on screen * A functional Bestiary with statistics, monster tales and tips * The Player walking all around the map scene window * Teammates + Caterpillar movement style *** Other Features *** * Make sprites to display either labels, colored, rectangles, statistics, images like Battlers, Characters or Faces, etc. * Event Collision in all four directions! RE: KUnits XP VX ACE GOSU - kyonides - 08-30-2017 Updated the KUnits Gosu demo once again including many characters and some changes I made to my scripts, i.e. now you can see a Western town like sign telling you what's your current location. Yeah, one can customize that to make it appear on the left or right hand side or even center the sign at any time via adding a line of code to the corresponding script. RE: KUnits XP VX ACE GOSU - kyonides - 08-31-2017 I updated the KUnits Gosu Update RAR file once again to include a few minor features and a preview of my adaptation of KChests XP to Gosu. Yes, you can now open chests and their corresponding menu! The bad thing is I haven't had the chance to make original items for my project's database... Stats you can increase or recover during gameplay: * HP, MP, AP, SP, HPMAX, MPMAX, ATK, MATK, PDEF, MDEF, AGIL, LUCK, BLOCK I've got no idea how to make the Imperial measure system work with floats or doubles as they call them in C and C++ so I guess I'll just stick to the metric system instead. RE: KUnits XP VX ACE GOSU - kyonides - 09-05-2017 KUnits Gosu was updated once again! (I still wonder why I care too much about it if people don't care to test it at all...) What's new? Mmm well, besides flipping book pages if you press the left control button while on the map to open that menu and opening the KUnitsShop Gosu menu hosted by a tiny girl called Anastasia... Mainly bug fixes and minor changes to any of the thousands of lines of original code! RE: KUnits XP VX ACE GOSU - kyonides - 09-06-2017 Now it's possible to actually buy stuff at the local Gosu KUnitsShop, just pick as many items as you heart desires! (Or your pockets actually support...) It also features its first teleport event! Yes, teleporting players is now available! Its event actually sports some mysterious energy orbs floating around like some weird glowworms. I also made some slight changes to code that can't be noticed by players. RE: KUnits XP VX ACE GOSU - kyonides - 09-07-2017 KUnits Gosu project now includes it's own timer or playtime section in the main menu, even if it looks a bit simple or just a bit ugly. I've also improved my custom tileset by adding 4 new tiles, walls and a doorway. Those tiles only show up if you visit map #2 via activating the teleport event (the floating orbs on map #1). Oh, I've dropped support for a 640x480 game window, it now features a 800x608 game window resolution only. There are other minor changes that I've forgotten already or are insignificant for common players as to be mentioned here. RE: KUnits XP VX ACE GOSU - kyonides - 09-09-2017 I uploaded a new KUnits Gosu demo (it's on mega, mediafire didn't let me upload a thing at all) that sports a few changes in map features, a new but simple save menu with a nice backdrop, minor changes to saving and loading game files, trying to introduce two kinds of coordinates, ones for event collisions and others for minor functions. My simple tileset features a wall and a doorway... Wait, you already knew that... Anyway, the only big difference is that this RAR file actually includes most files I need to distribute except for songs I don't own and should not be packed as well for obvious reasons... Guess what, funny people! ::Sarcarsm:: I recently added a beautiful map scrolling feature to my KUnits Gosu project! ::Applauses:: Yeah, I REALLY REALLY mean it here, I made it possible and I even dared to explain the whole mess in an interesting way! (For other scripters probably...) And some people even dare to doubt I was a skilled scripter, take this, you morons! Such a lousy scripter wouldn't make it on Gosu at all, but I succeeded! KUnits Gosu recent updates are available on Mediafire and Mega for download! By the way, people, I want to let you know that according to my very short lines.rb script I have written 4674 lines of code for my KUnits Gosu project so far! RE: KUnits XP VX ACE GOSU - kyonides - 09-20-2017 I've got over 5300 lines of code so far in my KUnits Gosu project, plus I implemented a basic weather system with 200 waterdrops falling down. I also added some features of Gem Roulette, but for some unknown reason it ends up in the same slot where it started, never ever think I'm cheating there XD. |
