RE: Maps and screenshots thread - Charlie Fleed - 09-20-2011 :) I'm glad you like it, the artist that is working to this tileset is really skilled. Initially he had made a more realistic set, but i asked him to make something more cartoonish and bright. And btw I also found a colleague at work that is really passionate about RPGs and will help me with gameplay design and background (descriptions, a littlebit of scenario..). RE: Maps and screenshots thread - Charlie Fleed - 10-11-2011 More tiles. This is not the final interface but the game engine running gives another flavour... RE: Maps and screenshots thread - DerVVulfman - 10-12-2011 Damn fine artwork there. RE: Maps and screenshots thread - TDark - 10-13-2011 A Fog/ Illumination Test RE: Maps and screenshots thread - DerVVulfman - 10-13-2011 Either that or a picture of an albino bat in the middle of a daytime antarctic blizzard. RE: Maps and screenshots thread - cosmickitty - 10-14-2011 lol, took me a minute to realize that he had a flashlight... i was trying to figure out why the light kept bouncing around RE: Maps and screenshots thread - TDark - 10-14-2011 What?O.o RE: Maps and screenshots thread - Hybrida - 10-15-2011 Well, the light seems fine. The snowland music is very matching in my opinion. RE: Maps and screenshots thread - KasperKalamity - 10-15-2011 this one is a cave adjacent to a spring. it is the b2 of a desert area. this other one is the first town, Villageburg RE: Maps and screenshots thread - Taylor - 10-15-2011 In regards to that cavern - while the central passageways are passable, however the outer tunnels should be more curved off. It is too obvious you're at the edge of the map. A related suggestion of mine is that unless you're moving to a new area, the player should always be centred in the screen. Give yourself a fair amount of space around the map so the scrolling doesn't stop. |
