RE: What's on your mind? - KDC - 07-17-2019 (07-17-2019, 04:19 AM)kyonides Wrote: Next month Costa Rica will start the migration to the digital public TV transmissions as the sole standard for all audio visual transmissions that require any antenna. This process should successfully conclude next year. It's not like public TV channels have anything worth watching most of the time besides newscast and sports. Such a development should open the doors wide open for 5G phone transmissions as well, but Huawei is probably gonna impose its towers and the rest of their technology here... We aren't safe here! Speaking of Huawei, I haven't heard much of Huawei lately. Must've not had newsworthy things lately. RE: What's on your mind? - Zackwell - 07-18-2019 I do, true. I forgot about that. RE: What's on your mind? - MetalRenard - 07-20-2019 *singing* Time for a road triiip! *singing* RE: What's on your mind? - yamina-chan - 07-20-2019 Oh? Where are you going? ^^ RE: What's on your mind? - MetalRenard - 07-23-2019 I went for a drive for a couple of days around Wakayama prefecture, in the mountains. I saw the tallest torii in Japan and Nachi Falls, such a beautiful place for a trip! (Not my photo) RE: What's on your mind? - DerVVulfman - 07-24-2019 I GOT MY DAD TO EAT A PORK RIB DINNER WITH MASHED POTATOES AND CORN!!!!! When a guy in his 90s has Dementia and a total loss of appetite, this is an achievement. ..... Unfortunately, I was up till 5am because of his refusal to sleep last night. And it appears I'm about to reprise that tonight. RE: What's on your mind? - DerVVulfman - 07-25-2019 Today, we found CORN doesn't do well with my dad. :P AND... I was awake from 1 to 3 am as he's (not) asleep. Beats the night before... 1-5am. Oh, I was dead on my feet yesterday. But, he had chicken and a servings of fruits and veggies for breakfast... some tasty Carvel Ice Cream... and fish with loaded mashed potatoes for dinner. AND while running out of ONE chocolate milk offering 16 grams of protein, I found a Nesquik that does 26 grams of protein. And I think he's becoming more... aware? Granted, he slept most of the day as usual. RE: What's on your mind? - DerVVulfman - 07-28-2019 Today's a disaster.... As you would expect, someone in his 90s want to nap all the time. Unfortunately, my dad wants to dine solely on ice cream and even spat out his medicine. It's less negotiating to get him to take his medication, as stubborn as he is, he'll go to sleep. Refusing to give him ice cream would foster either whining or more sleep. And unfortunately, he's more awake at night in any case. Oh, I finally got him to take his medication, including the medication for his dementia. But eating is another matter when he tries to spit out the food, palm it in his hand and hide it in a napkin, or just refuse to eat unless it is ice cream. And tonight, he's called for me to help him sit up in bed (twice) just so he can lay down again, or other various nuances.... at: 10:30pm, 10:42pm, 10:45pm, 10:54pm, 11:00pm, 11:03pm, 11:06pm, 11:09pm, 11:16pm, 11:21pm, 11:32pm, 11:36pm, 11:41pm and 11:46pm. I was just answering his latest call while typing this. I'm gonna be in a chair waiting on him all night. I just see it. |
