RE: What's on your mind? - DerVVulfman - 03-04-2020 I'm getting phone calls now from ..... KDC's favorite morons... So-Called APPLE about my Apple account with such a robotic voice, I swear it could have said "WANT TO PLAY A GAME?" I have no apple ID, I have no Apple Products. Who names a computer after a fruit? RE: What's on your mind? - kyonides - 03-06-2020 It says: "I miss those times when I sneezed and people told you 'God Bless you!'... Now they tell you 'Get out of here!'" Yes, Kermit, I know exactly what you're talking about here. RE: What's on your mind? - KDC - 03-06-2020 Welp. I learned that, to build anything on any land I own, I have to have a builders permit. Sounds a bit limiting on power, even for a land owner's land. What good is land if one can't build anything with it without a permit? RE: What's on your mind? - kyonides - 03-06-2020 What good is land where you could build anything in it but might collapse at any time? That's the kind of risks they don't wanna take there... RE: What's on your mind? - Bounty Hunter Lani - 03-07-2020 I noticed something with Youtube. No, it's not their terrible and abusable copyright system that takes videos down or monetizes things that aren't even in a video, or their terrible fair use system, the general lack of creative freedom on the site now, or their failure of a monetization bot. No, those are always on my mind. This is about people trying to protect their music on Youtube! You see... Youtube requires you to put your song onto Youtube via your record label, or have it on the site yourself, in order for them to have a song to match in their copyright system. This helps prevent people from uploading your song and making money from it, especially if you don't want your song anywhere but your own album you sell. The issue? When the record label uploads the files directly onto Youtube, the quality is CD-quality audio that gets auto-generated into a publicly-viewable Youtube video with the full song on it. Seriously, search any band, but with "- Topic" or a music symbol behind it. You'll find the official track DIRECTLY FROM THE RECORD LABEL! It's a bad system. There's no protection from Youtube to mp3 sites that refuse to respect Youtube's copyright policies. People don't need to buy albums anymore unless they unlist the video. But the record labels actually don't have control over the videos. It's on Youtube's end. The only thing you can fully protect are livestreams of your own content, where a company can hire a bot from Youtube to take down videos with similar titles to prevent someone streaming your stream. But that leads to false strikes on channels that take a month at least, or even a few months to fix. So Youtube's messing with artists by giving their songs out for free instead of protecting them. Sure, people can't make money off of their songs, but if you can find every single song in their entire discography on Youtube directly uploaded from the record label themselves, why would a cheapskate buy the album? How is having these videos in public view not seen as a problem?! Maybe they've got a sweet deal where they get commissions from Youtube for having the songs public, so they don't need to worry about the money being lost? I dunno, but I wouldn't trust Youtube as far as I can throw Brock Lesnar. RE: What's on your mind? - DerVVulfman - 03-08-2020 (03-06-2020, 10:55 PM)KDC Wrote: Welp. What good is land if one can't build anything with it without a permit? Well, one may own land that was sparse and undeveloped, or bought a house in a developed community. You should understand that it would be necessary to check and make sure things are safe to build on your land, so you don't accidentally hamper any underground plumbing, gas lines or the like. But... they can't play favorites either, saying one person needs a permit and the other doesn't. RE: What's on your mind? - kyonides - 03-08-2020 (03-06-2020, 10:55 PM)KDC Wrote: Welp. RE: What's on your mind? - kyonides - 03-11-2020 Seriously, guys, after what happened in Costa Rica and Panama, I couldn't agree more with this meme... RE: What's on your mind? - KDC - 03-13-2020 This whole Coronavirus thing is causing schools in the state I'm in to close. Also rumors of a Nationwide emergency are arise.... Also I had to double things on a grocery list to last, at least, 2 weeks instead of one week. And lastly, I heard this from my mom, Spraying things with Lysol Disinfectant spray might actually kill the Coronavirus.... Just a theory though, but it might work. RE: What's on your mind? - kyonides - 03-13-2020 If the disinfectant has enough chlorine, then yeah it will kill the coronavirus for sure. The thing is that you should clean surfaces more often. |
