RE: What's on your mind? - kyonides - 07-05-2020 Well, my night was curious indeed. First I stopped playing WC3 and started modifying my script. Then I read some articles regarding programming in C and C++. Later on I watched a video and noticed that VLC version 3.0.11 I think sports some interesting playback speed improvement. Well, the previous version was a a BIT laggy so it was nice to see everything back to normal. The video discussed events described in the book of Daniel. Thereafter I run some short animation and it worked fine. I shut the PC down and started thinking about silly and serious stuff while trying to get asleep. Wait a second... My bed was shaking!! According to local experts it was moderate tremor that didn't reach 5 degrees in Richter scale. My bed was shaking!! I think I would get a heart attack if my bed would start shaking out of nowhere. Thankfully we have close to 0 earthquakes in germany. RE: What's on your mind? - MetalRenard - 07-06-2020 Whenever there's a noticable earthquake it wakes me up immediately. Thankfully we've only had 2 moderate ones (wherever I was at the time) since I got here. The bigger ones hit elsewhere. They're scary! Gets your blood pumping. RE: What's on your mind? - kyonides - 07-16-2020 Well, I've been dealing with the complex Warcraft 3 World Editor. It's a mess! You've got so many options and... no single instructions. Developers themselves said they couldn't write an instructions book so we users gotta look around and ask for help on any of the WC3 communities populating the cyberworld. I've already got a couple of headaches already. Still, I've also started developing my very first custom campaign featuring Melana Dreamwhisp and your servitor! It's entitled "Ancient Artifacts" and its first installment was called "Establishing a New Base". Even so stuff doesn't seem to be as easy as they first expected. RE: What's on your mind? - DerVVulfman - 07-21-2020 Oh, thankyou-thankyou-thankyou-thankyou-thankyou----* Leaving the house Sunday, I noticed I received mail. Mind you, I got home from work after 7pm, so the *cough* Postal Service (which sucks) waited until around 8pm to finally deliver it. It was a letter from the Register of Wills office sent on the 15th, so it took 4 days (and waited until that night) to arrive. Within, it said I was delinquent in submitting paperwork regarding my father's estate and I'd be removed as the Administrator WITH LEGAL PROCEEDINGS AFTER! WHAT THE HELL? Even better, it said... I had SEVEN DAYS FROM THE DATE IT WAS SENT. The seventh day would be TUESDAY (aka TOMORROW!) Oh, did I call? Yeah. It seems they sent me a letter in May. Um, I never got it. Think I trust my mail service? I won't go into details on finances.... boooring. However, they said I could send the papers via eMail. And as an official signature was required, I sent some good sized JPG files to the person in question. That was at 11am. I just received 20 minutes ago (I typed a lot here)... CONFIRMATION ON RECEIPT!! YAAAAAY!!! And with a 'THANKS' added to the eMail! Oh, thankyou-thankyou-thankyou-thankyou-thankyou----* RE: What's on your mind? - KDC - 08-06-2020 So here's a complicated way of linking game accounts for a game. Right now, I'm downloading the Steam Version PHANTASY STAR ONLINE 2, which got released on Steam at 10:00AM EDT, technically yesterday as of EDT time is past midnight, but to link the accounts, I have to run either the Xbox One or Windows Store version of the game, get the code from there, which only lasts 15 minutes, close the Windows Store version, if I'm running the Windows Store Version (I have no Xbox One, so it's likely that I would be running the one on PC), run the steam version, input the code, and, in theory, I've linked my Steam and Xbox Accounts. I am planning on uninstalling the windows store version due to some issues I've had with it for a few months. However, it appears that I have to keep it installed long enough to receive and input a code to keep my progress on the Steam Version. After that, I have no idea if I am able to uninstall the Windows Store version or not. That's a little complicated for linking a game account. I mean, making an account which the only purpose is to link your other accounts from the other platforms would've been more sufficient. but oh well. Let's see how this works first, once I get everything done and dealt with. Wow that's a lot more than I usually type that's on my mind. RE: What's on your mind? - kyonides - 08-06-2020 Zombies... Well, they don't exist and they'll never do. Even so people love them. Seriously? You can easily run away from them, but you always watch how they get bitten because nobody wants to shoot them at their stupid undead heads. It's like they've never learned a single thing from Evil Dead. Plus police always look inept at dealing with zombies at the beginning of such an "epidemic". Wait? Could it be they just pretended to defund the police? Not gonna make this become political for I don't even live in the US, but why can't people trust the police can handle situations not even on movies and TV series!? I see, they can't hire Stallone or Snipes to do the job! Regarding Willis... meh. RE: What's on your mind? - kyonides - 08-11-2020 The following story happened many hours ago but I've been busy working on some custom script requests and edits so... QUAKE! ! ! Yeah, at 7:06 pm Costa Rican Time a 4.3 magnitude quake hit Patio de Agua, Cartago in the Central Valley. Why do I care about that? Well, it's not hard to understand. It took place about 23 km or 14.3 mi away from my home!! Nothing serious happened as far as I have heard on TV but it still was quite close this time. Oh and there's a pandemic out there so... RE: What's on your mind? - KDC - 08-12-2020 I decided to mess around with my Steam Link again, but this time by way of streaming. I might just stream the entire desktop, with my controller as the mouse, because the wireless Keyboard's touch pad is a bit finicky with Windows 10 this time around. Either that, or find my spare gaming mouse for more precision as use the keyboard as a keyboard. Yeah. I'll find my spare mouse instead of using a controller. Also, there might be a game or two I will have to use the PC to chat, and even go through the launcher(s) for some reason, as they weren't quite optimized for things like Steam's Remote Play. Also, it's neat that the Steam Link, and maybe Steam's Remote Play itself, does zoom in on the steam game/steam version of programs. Believe me KDC when I tell you that your Windows 10 installation is not the only one coming up with such quirks. A few weeks ago the same happened to a friend of mine. I just had to connect a mouse like you did to solve my friend's issue. |
