RE: What's on your mind? - KDC - 11-04-2020 Why the heck am I tuned into CBS News' Election Thing? Ehh... I guess I'm curious who would win the actual election. Though it might end up with more than one day, since there's a whole lot of Americans who voted. Looks like the current President is probably going to win, though I do want to see the results with the rest of the ballots, whether they come in late, or not. RE: What's on your mind? - KDC - 11-07-2020 Looks like my prediction of the election was wrong. The formor vice president won. Color me surprised. RE: What's on your mind? - DerVVulfman - 11-08-2020 Hah. Ya think? You have either lawsuits coming over irregularities, or Pelosi's proposition from last month under the 25th Amendment. People thought she was working to remove Trump. It only works if the Vice President (Pence?) would approve. Nope, given all his flubs, she wants Biden removed for incapacity with a Vice President Harris approval. RE: What's on your mind? - kyonides - 11-08-2020 The problem with the lawsuits is that a state judge could disregard them or it could take longer than expected to get a recount. I don't think they'd wait past the January 21st mark to confirm the actual results, especially if they appeal to lower instances of the courts and later the Supreme Court itself. It's a long path... Thing is about the lawsuits is that, last I seen various media sources (NowThis News (YouTube) BBC (Podcast), and CBS News (Antenna television. Literally), the ones making the claim have no proof that the election was rigged. But some of the states will probably be doing a recount due to how small the gap is. The problem with media sources and searches as of recent is by forced bias. BBC has been liberal for some time, NowThisNews was founded by Kenneth Lerer and Eric Hippeau and very much progressive liberal biased, and don't get me going on the TV stations. RE: What's on your mind? - KDC - 12-09-2020 Decided to watch what happened to both the WB, and UPN back in 2006. It appears that UPN officially ended with a run of the WWE Smack Down, while WB, 1-2 days later, I guess, did an event which played pilots of certain shows. The WB shown this at 5/4c, on my birthday, back in 2006. And all I was thinking while seeing things they used in between and the final farewell, on YouTube, was this. How did I miss that? I was 14 at the time that aired, and somehow I missed it and seen what was now the CW, which was a mix of UPN and the WB content at start. I also learned that the show, Supernatural, started a year before the WB shut down. That was back in 2005, but the actual date of that year, I don't know when. Also, funny enough, Channel 4, here in Indiana, used to be affiliated with the WB. It is now affiliated with CBS. RE: What's on your mind? - DerVVulfman - 12-10-2020 I still refer to our Channel 50 as 'The W.B."... It just rolls off the tongue. RE: What's on your mind? - KDC - 12-10-2020 Now that I think about it... I wonder if the set the WB network used is still.... Wherever it was. You know, with the big WB light and everything. RE: What's on your mind? - MetalRenard - 12-10-2020 No roast dinner for me this festive season. I can't visit family for the holiday and I don't have a big enough oven, either. I miss my potatoes. :( |
