RE: What's on your mind? - JayRay - 03-02-2023 That;s okay, I decided to splurge on myself at McDonalds today, got two Big Macs, fries, nuggets. I was like "$15 bucks? Oh well, wont be doing THAT every day" and then I found out that the guy in front of me had bought my meal. So I did the same... dude behind me was getting a McFlurry... that was it... WIN! RE: What's on your mind? - DerVVulfman - 03-17-2023 Ugh... another tale of someone getting it wrong: Greta DELETED the Tweet since it is now past the 5 year deadline she gave us and the Earth. So the facts and fiction of Climate Change alarmists kinda hit me... and they have literally been wrong time and time again for at least fifty years!!!! * According to Mr. Spock, we should be in igloos... * Kerry doesn't have a science degree. And Santa's Workshop shouldn't even exist now. In 1970, The Boston Globe said we were heading for an Ice Age from air pollution. The Guardian claimed in 1974 that Spy Satellites saw the Ice Age coming Fast. Conversely, Neil DeGrass Tyson said that the Statue of Liberty would be more than waist deep in melted Glacier water in 2014. The climate changes all the time. And no one has ever been held accountable for any of these incorrect predictions. The temperatures we had last year were nothing compared to the 100+ degrees (or 38 celsius) temps with "Red Alert air quality index" warnings that I experienced during the mid 80s. RE: What's on your mind? - DerVVulfman - 04-26-2023 Oh, thank gawd! My Verison eMail Wrote:Hi Michael, I have received the same telemarketer robocalls daily, amounting to roughly well over 200 annoyances a month. There are sites that actively track if a given number IS robo, and they all have tell-tale signals anyway. At least, they're not getting taken care of. RE: What's on your mind? - kyonides - 05-14-2023 About 6 or 7 months ago, the creator of Linux OS talked to the Intel CEO about his past in developing Linux. At some point he jumped to his second most famous project, Git, and made a weird reference to our well known object oriented programming language, namely Ruby. Linus Torvald Wrote:The Ruby people, strange people, starting using Git... He basically "blamed" them for the sudden growth of Git that made it become a lot more popular than CVS, the former king of software versioning tools. He even claimed that it happened like overnight. Now developers and even normal people can't deny anymore the fact that Ruby certainly did contribute to any other project or software in the developing scene. Rubyists sparked the flames of the almost worldwide adoption of Git. You never know when someone that looks pretty much like the average user or visitor can end up being a supporter or even a promoter of your work. RE: What's on your mind? - Kain Nobel - 05-17-2023 The SNES had the coolest damn box art known to man. I'm not claiming that SNES box art was all made by the same person, but there is a distinctive look to Super Famicon covers that I just don't see anywhere else. Whether it's TMNT Turtles in Time, Shin Megami Tensei, Hyper Zone, Legend of Zelda ALTTP, Mega Man X or Illusion of Gaia... it's just different from anything prior or afterwards. RE: What's on your mind? - kyonides - 05-30-2023 Until the SNES itself turned yellow... 10 pieces of KFC chicken for US$12.30, delivery included. Cheap or expensive? RE: What's on your mind? - DerVVulfman - 06-01-2023 WHAT?????? $12.99???? We don't have 10pc here. BUT AN 8-PC BUCKET IS $20 AND A 12-PC BUCKET IS $26!!!! Can you place your $12.99 order and tell them to deliver it to me up here? RE: What's on your mind? - kyonides - 06-01-2023 Only if you wanna Customs to keep it from ever leaving the airport. You see, they're some poor federal workers that can't afford buying a bucket every single day of the year. RE: What's on your mind? - kyonides - 06-09-2023 Guess what, guys! The fried chicken promo is back tonight! Same price, same flavor! I'm just waiting for it to arrive here. But nope, it's not available for Wulfos at all! EDIT: Delivered! RE: What's on your mind? - Kain Nobel - 06-17-2023 Exciting news, courtesy of petapixel.com: SanDisk's New 1TB SD Card Takes Speed to V60 PetaPixel.com Wrote:SanDisk now offers a massive 1TB capacity SD Card that can hit transfer speeds fast enough to nab a V60 rating, making it fast enough for many 4K and even 6K video recording applications. You can read the rest of the article on their site. Note that I'm not affiliated with PetaPixel or SanDisk, just spreading the news. This would've been great when I was doing the music project. When recording music and even video, one ends up creating a bunch of heavy files, some of which will wind up being junk. I've always had bad latency trying to record to a portable drive or SD card, but this sounds like it could be a game changer. Good for recording 4K and 6K video? Yeah, it's probably good for a lot of things then. The SD card can receive all of the recordings, leaving the main computer free from the cluttered payload. Things I've Never Seen Before This could exist, I've just never seen it. Turn on the TV and the episode goes like... Television Wrote:Teenage Punk: "Mom. Natalie.
