RE: What's up, RMers? - KasperKalamity - 11-01-2012 How do i fix this stupid problem? i just added a bunch of newly illustrated tiles to my set, and it asked me for the semi/transparency colors. i clicked on the shadow under the chairs/furniture for semi transparent, as it is a 25% opaque black shape, and it gave me this as a map: How can I get rid of the white lines and white shadows? if anybody has any serious ideas, i'll pm them my top secret tileset. RE: What's up, RMers? - MetalRenard - 11-02-2012 When you exported the images, did you make sure it had the correct settings in the first place? RE: What's up, RMers? - KasperKalamity - 11-02-2012 it did. i only just now realized that i flattened my .png before exporting it. now it has a totally white background instead of a transparent one. RE: What's up, RMers? - Samven - 11-02-2012 I'm wondering if there's a potential audience for me LP'ing people's RM games... RE: What's up, RMers? - yamina-chan - 11-02-2012 Theoretically I'd say yes. Some of my favourite Let's Players I've discovered because they were playing RPG Maker games. Allo of them are quite popoular and the LPs of these games are loved and anticipated by their Fanbase. The thing is, however, all of them are German so I can't say anything about a genreal English-speaking Audience. Plus, I don't know your LP style, so... Then again, I have toyed with the idea myself. You'll find out by tring I supopse =) RE: What's up, RMers? - millarso - 11-02-2012 That wouldn't be half a bad idea as long as we had some good projects to show off. I've seen some pretty good ones on the youtube. It would be a good showcase not only for the talents here, but also for this forum in general. RE: What's up, RMers? - yamina-chan - 11-02-2012 I don't think it really needs to be just "good" projects. Just playing the games and finding out wether they're good or not can be entertaining =) A good Let's Player can point out the flaws in a game and give suggestions for improvement. Even a horrible game can make for a good LP and espeically work as inspiration for oter people making these games. I would love to show you a few great examples of this, but again: they're in german... But yeah, having various games of various levels would be the way to approach things in my oppinion. Especially people have diffrent oppinions on what is good and what is not. RE: What's up, RMers? - Taylor - 11-10-2012 It sure is fun to be testing one element and for loads of other unrelated bugs to turn up, that you end up also testing and fixing and ... man I get so lost in my projects, finding unfinished elements or the like, because some other element suddenly grabs my attention. Current things that need my attention. I don't think there's anything else: - Dead revive animation. When reviving a dead character they get up too early in the battle animation. - Dead not at initial spot, affects targeting. If a character is KOed when moving, they remain somewhere in the middle of the battlefield. Arrow sprite points to blank area. Reviving also causes dead to get up too early to walk back to their spot. - Force action does not work. ... much more straight-forward issue, no clue what causes it though. It always worked. Just not on turn 0. What the hell. I mean, if $game_temp.battle_turn == 0 only turns up once, and other turn_count references are innocent. What if I wanted an attack to be a part of a cutscene at the start of battle?! D: ... afterwards, I can get back to... less codey things. Skill name themeing. RE: What's up, RMers? - Samven - 11-10-2012 I've been wondering about how one would go about going commercial with RPG Maker... It's been an idea that's appealed to me for a while but I'm not sure as to the ins and outs legally. Anyone know anything/a link to anything that might give me an inkling? RE: What's up, RMers? - cosmickitty - 11-10-2012 legally? As long as you own your copy of RM you can use it for commercial games. Resources are a different issue, you'd have to contact the owners of any outside resources to find out if it's unrestricted or make your own. Besides that it's just a matter of making something of enough quality to go commercial. |
