The ups and downs of a forum. Hardy Har Har. - DerVVulfman - 12-24-2024 Dear friends, Yes, our site was down again. This time for a longer period because Kirito Went for a vacation, one not scheduled back until early January and one where he would basically be away from the server entirely. Even so, he did pop within after finding notification within our discord and managed to reboot the system. That is all which was required, a reboot protocol (of some sort). To actually quote Kirito...
hey, I restarted the database, that's what keeps crashing. save-point is back up again. it's just a bandaid, I don't get home until next week, then I can do a in depth look at what's actually going on.
anyway, I'll write a unit script that will monitor the database for errors and restart it automatically when I get home. I still want to go over the logs and what not to prevent it from crashing in the first place. server rebooting, package updates to the OS So while it may happen once more (the chances of it being iffy in itself), the issue should be resolve rather soon.
