Bluegirl Art//Solitairy Artworks - Solitaire - 01-10-2025 I posted some art here in October, but quickly deleted it, cause I started feeling self conscious and afraid. But I just realized that all that time ago, I'd completely MISSED, FOR NEARLY THREE FREAKING MONTHS, a message from the DerVVulfman And he said he was gonna comment on it, but I'd already deleted it. I felt very bad about having not seen the message, but I did save the post actually, as an HTML file. And so I thought I'd just post it here, to kick that insecurity in the bee-hind. Behold: Solitaire Random Art Postings : [Originally posted @ Save-point.com forums] I've browsed some of the other cool artworks threads by cool artists on here, and was inspired by some of them to post some more of my own non-humorous artworks in a thread! :D And to kick it off, I thought I might show off to you fine viewers of the Save-point, one of the characters from one of my XP game project ideas -- (Sorta had to bump up the contrast and sharpening to clear up some of the fuzziness from my phone camera. I swear Google Photos screws around with the image files whenever I take em on my phone!) A zoom in of some of the hair details: I feel like some of the finer details may be lost in the photo version, but when my face is a few inches away from the page, everything looks so clear! The drawing is inspired by designs from the 60s, and depicts this character : Also pictured, the supplies I used. Nothin too fancy lol. Used knife for sharpenin'. I enjoy using colored pencils, but I don't do it so often, this was actually the first time I've tried a portrait of this type and in this style with colored pencils. Or "pencil" singular, I suppose, since I just used the one. -- Okay, that's actually a slightly paired-down version of the post, since I went on to talk about pencils and stuff. But that's the important info needed. :) Thank you for caring about my art, Mr. Wolf :) RE: Bluegirl Art//Solitairy Artworks - Solitaire - 01-11-2025 Sketch panels from earlier last year for a WIP comic I've been working on a while! RE: Bluegirl Art//Solitairy Artworks - Remi-chan - 01-12-2025 Ah, the fabled blue ladies! I see you are a 1960's fellow of fabulous culture, as well! And yeah, I think DerVVulfman has a weakness for blue people. He really enjoyed my art and animations for Svoli (an anthropomorphic cat we commonly nickname 'catmum' as well! I think that little top down animation is my favorite of your blue lass. She looks so adorbs! Your comic panels are also really cool! If Avatar (and X-Men... And Smurfs... And-- Wow, there's a few of these.) has taught us anything, is that the human mind has an INSATIBLE DESIRE for blue people. And thank you so very much!! >< she underwent so many updates. Believe it or not, in her preliminary state, around six years ago now I suppose (man, time flies), she was pink!: Then she eventually became blue... Then earlier last year, I updated her to be a bit more vibrant, and in-line with the style I've developed over the last few years: (Incomplete version here, obviously. lol) Bluegirl is happy to meet everyone on the Forums! :3 RE: Bluegirl Art//Solitairy Artworks - Solitaire - 01-14-2025 Evening all! Hope it was a good start to your week... (Or a good day in general, depending upon when you read this!) I wanted to post some more arts of characters from the same comic WIP I mentioned before: Jerri and Mag! :D I've enjoyed drawing them and perfecting their designs over the years haha. Writing them was really the first time I wrote characters in a relationship. I'd written stories about characters meeting and getting together, but sometimes writing all the follow-up relationship stuff can be monotonous and stale. I mean, it doesn't have to be, obviously. But that's how it came out when I tried writing it. But eventually once I came up with Actual Ideas:tm: for what I wanted to do with their characters and plotlines. It was much smoother sailing! (You'll have to pardon the jankiness of this scene mockup. I tried cleaning it up to make it more readable, as the original picture was really uneven in lighting, and dark in some spots (darn camera) but I think I might've just ended up making it muddier. Lol) |
