Shiny Themes and Shiny Buttons! - DerVVulfman - 03-06-2025 Hey guys! After all this time, and after getting some things straightened out, I managed to get some of the behind-the-scenes worked out to begin crafting another forum desktop style: Where can you find and change your themes? It can be set within your USER CP. Within the Your Profile window on the left side of your Control Panel, you will find the Edit Options hyperlink. From there, you can set various options to suit your tastes, and the Board Style option is where you may choose between the (currently) two available themes. And of colors, do check out the new menu button on the very right. You see it, right? Kinda gold colored compared to the rest? You can't miss it. Indeed, it is a Donation button. A week ago, Kirito StrangeAutomaton posted a thread in the event anyone wished to help support the forum, cover the cost of the server maintenance, tools, time served, and so on. Rather than having that post forgotten, I decided to make a dedicated button within the top menu. It will take you to a nice little page, a portion of it can be found right here. Have a nice day.

You think I wasn't expecting that? Quite a bit of time and effort went into studying the way themes were made. More time actively placing comments and identifying each individual feature. And today, a fair amount of time went into streamlining the codes to reduce the number of overlapping shades of purple that were too similar. Oh, I went a bit full-board, creating an editable palette and a list of where half-a-dozen hotlink colors belong! And once that was done... magic. It may not be a dark shade, but I now present TWO MORE themes from which to choose, this time they are green. Indeed, there's now a HOST of new themes: JEMS (the traditional style):
REBIRTH (A 2008/2009 style before our rebranding):
Will I do more color variants? And will I have any other style besides these? ... Time will tell. |
