Oh, the Royalty link certainly helps a lot xD I can't seem to freelance scaling. I'll need to make a grid again and start on a new layer.

What did you mean earlier, about empty spaces? I'm not sure what to watch out for :P

I just meant that some of the scales didn't look like scales, but the layer underneath. Kind of like a scale fell of there.

More like double scales, I think. There are areas with two scale outlines present, but they aren't cut off from each other.

@Kristovski:
Oh, you mean it looked like the skin underneath the scales? :3

@Cocoa:
Hm, what do you mean? That there appears to be two scales present but it looks like one or another scale, doesn't end....? Sweat

So, working on a new found love of mine! I stupidly followed the tutorial TOO much and did the same size as the creator and ended up loving what I have so far. But now its soo tiny... [Image: sad.gif]

What do you guys think? It isn't finished, needs vegetation, trees, rivers etc

(OLD VERSION; I really wish I made it bigger, as it would look better. But here is an update.)

Thank you Olivia! :3 I really liked the second too. It makes me sad that I made it too small :(

I'm an idiot when it comes to Photoshop, so it was really hard. But I found this great tutorial:http://www.cartographersguild.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=19894&d=1262251614 OR (http://www.cartographersguild.com/showthread.php?8086-Award-Winner-Saderan-%E2%80%93-a-tutorial)

You need an account to download, but the tutorial is really easy to follow and explains everything very well. The only problem with it is that two of the steps ask for a layer and accidentally name it something wrong a bit later, but its easy to understand what he meant.

*I would upload the PDF here, but I'm not sure the creator would like that much. Sweat *

Update! Working on rivers. I guess the western part of my world (more along the line of islands) has little space for rivers...oh well, I guess >.>

Decided to remake a character in my game. She was originally the first sprite I ever made and the hair looked a little weird (see here), but I think it looks better now....? Blushing + Cheery

I think the lighting on the bangs looks a bit weird, but what do you guys think? Blush

So here was the old version . But someone, bacon, on another forum came in and told me a lot. He told me about blocking, something I didn't really know about. So now, with that in mind, I think its really updated my art!

I didn't include the blocking layers, but if I must I will? :P
