Dead Poets Society - Pherione - 05-24-2011 For all you writers of poetry, artists of the word and literary enchanters, this thread gives you the occasion to harvest the praise, laud and fame of the crowd as well as criticize and improve the styles and works of others. Couple of rules:
The first poem is narrative and tells about a cursed fairy, the second poem deals with the concepts of the awe-struck man, confronted with the sublime. Quote:The Faerie Knight Quote: RE: Dead Poets Society - MetalRenard - 05-24-2011 *Screams* CULT!!! *Runs away* Well, it has to be said, you're very good! RE: Dead Poets Society - xnadvance - 05-24-2011 Looking Glass It has said to the reflection which has not wed brings a portrait that's always matched and still nothing between them that is attached day on night off the figures inside never hide nor do they show what is not that is outside colors that stand out and ones that don't sit in things stay the same till that moment came that one time a branch from the wall smashed through the hack and slashing noises in seconds dropped like leaf dew and till then...looking forward became clear. RE: Dead Poets Society - Pherione - 05-25-2011 Had to read it a couple of times before I got what it was actually about, xnadvance. Nice poem :) RE: Dead Poets Society - xnadvance - 05-26-2011 Chariot Wheel The chariot wheel ran at speeds not known to man swift as so one couldn't take a glimpse at it until captured stars danced up in the sky as if they were earthly and raptured These lights spoke one language and played tunes that infinitely won against the darkness that surrounded them and who would know when only to them did time seem clear with visibility while darkness saw negativity The war of two forces slowed down and the wheel spun the opposite way around before mortals could find another liveable planet the winning side was already planted the opposite triumphed over the other that knew and the children of the soil of earth grew RE: Dead Poets Society - MetalRenard - 06-01-2011 Connotation of a storm is adourned when thinking of a peril yet unborn Seen through the minds eye of a man enslaved by his woeful master, the now depraved. The true meaning of a storm is not pain it's beauty unchallenged, power untamed nature at its worst and best forever, held deep within my soul as love can never. RE: Dead Poets Society - LilEvil3000 - 06-01-2011 William Shakespeare was a great author and poet that is dead and gone finally R&J was a good example of his most famous works. ^_^ RE: Dead Poets Society - Mercenary - 06-01-2011 Hitler, Hitler, I've been thinking What in the world have you been drinking? Smells like whiskey, tastes like wine, Oh my gosh, it's iodine. >Hate poetry RE: Dead Poets Society - Pherione - 06-06-2011 @ MetalRenard beautiful poem...if I had to situate it I'd say romanticism @Mercenary yours is modernism :p oh the irony ^^ RE: Dead Poets Society - Pherione - 06-08-2011 Wrote this one for a girl, it ain't finished yet. Skipperbirds are an avian species from my fictional universe. Wings Live Were you a bird, what would you do? Soar through the clouds and bend your wings touching that sea of blue. Live, fly free Sing with me nightingale Imprisoned now, but not for long. I’ll set you free, I have the key now too to release you from a cage imprisoned wrong. Live, fly free Dance with me lark in the sky Spread your wings, don’t be afraid. Sit on my hand and peck my fingers you stole my heart before Live, fly free Love with me skipperbird Live, fly free |
