Credit goes to...who exactly? - yamina-chan - 09-05-2011 Since no one else decided to post in the feedback Thread I decided to open this now =) Imagin you're browsing trough the various RPG Maker communitys, searching for some resources to improve your game. And then, after a while you see something you like. But alas, there are no credits to be found. "So, is this made by a fellow RPG Maker user or is it ripped from a game?", you wonder. "And is this free to use? And under what conditions? Also, who do I give credit if I'm allowed to use it at all?" Or maybe you used to go a certain page a while back where you used to gather let's say facesets for example. But now a few months have passed and you simply can't remember the name of the site at all. I don't think I'll go out on a limb when I say that most of you probably had this experience or a similar one a few times. So, what do you do in this situation? You either leave the recource be or you ask other users if they know who made it. It might have been someone well known and so others will be able to help. But opening a thread just for that? Each and every time? What a waste of space. That's what this Thread will be for. Here we can collect all those questions. Post what ever you found that you'd like to identify and the users can take a look and maybe someone will recognize it. We can all agree that Credit should be given, so once someone is able to provide the information please edit the post with your question so that you include the credits in it. Thanks. EDIT: DerVVulfman made a good suggestion, so I'm going to include it in here =) You don't need to post your recource directly in this thread, if you have a url/link to a diffrent page where you found it (Say the galary on an other forum for example) you can post said link instead. That way we can avoid multiposting the same recource without knowing who to give credit to just jet. RE: Credit goes to...who exactly? - DerVVulfman - 09-10-2011 As this is a discussion that can be used by everyone so they can post queries in an attempt to find out who crafted a resource, piece of software or anything of the like, this thread is being stickied. And like yamina-chan stated, you need not post the actual resource, but a link to the resource itself. RE: Credit goes to...who exactly? - Taylor - 08-09-2015 Aha! I thought we had a topic like this. A month ago I was wondering and then I... couldn't find it and forgot and ... well I'm wondering about that one charset in RPG Maker 2003's help file. It looks like spruced up RTP, but it's not the RTP, so it would be curious to know where it came from. I mean, if it can turn out the ship tileset in RM2k3 was wrong for the longest time (or in the least it was updated for the official english release), then what about this set?
