I’m sad you cannot recognize one of if not the greatest boss of one of the best games ever made but I’ll forgive it this time! This is fan art! Of Leo Cantus who is from the game The World Ends With You

Thanks to the Magical Girl Pretty Sami Sasami Jurai ... or as you know her, TsunamiJurai...  I was able to track down a critical bug within an expansive input package. It appears that the creator assumed that those using it would have games or projects installed on PCs running RPGMaker, and didn't consider that games using it were run on systems free of the editor.

Yeah, if you didn't have RPGMaker installed.... *KE-RASH!!!!!* Hurt    Even weirder, it was a REGISTRY entry set up by Enterbrain he was accessing.

So I used the same basic code he used and made a TEST for that entry. Nerd 2  If it came up 'Nil'.... yeah, don't snag and use his values and use mine instead.

It isn't new code.   Detective    But you'd think that in 10 years, someone would notice a gamer would report this crash.

Oh, wait.   Two Thumbs Up!   TsunamiJurai just did.

 Ramen   Time for lunch.

And beside that the Maker is really buggy and slow. I lost 3 times around 200 lines of dialogue due to crashes while doing message commands.

I see.

One step forward and two steps behind. The classic Enterbrain experience.

I was thinking about making a simple scriptlet that would offer you the following features:
  • Global Shop - offering stuff you stored there only + some starter kits Thinking
A new RPG item sales strategy? Confused
Would this make replays more interesting than usual? Confused
  • Your ideas or suggestions!? Happy with a sweat

Something funny happened to me the other day. I was randomly searching for a multihit script for XP and I stumbled across a topic where an user was asking for help about a bugged script. The post had a link to another forum where the user had found the script. To a topic I created years ago (2013!) asking for a standalone version of Blizzard's Multiple Hits Script.

The Internet: Smaller than you think.

eb! shoved RPGmaker off to Kadokowa with RPG Maker MV and has been uninvolved in its development since, but I agree... MZ is an absolute wreck.

I just got it for the backgrounds, since they don't actually look terrible. I'm very happy with MV (although I am running it on 1.5.1 because 1.6.x broke the play movie feature and it has yet to be fixed.) The fault is largely on Degica for releasing the MZ engine well before it was ready. They basically sold you a beta that they claim they'll patch up in the future.

I'm not hopeful, Degica has lost any sense of duty it basically never had, only now they are just being blatant about it.

I made this video which goes into the attitudes of the rpgmaker team and the poor communication Degica maintains with it, providing examples galore.

Right! So this appears to be a 'what are you working on thread', one of my favorite kinds! Currently I am working on a different game, Junked. I want to have a Demo ready by 3/14 which is a special date for me for reasons I'll go into as it approaches closer.

I did one of the major things, which was a cinematic intro to hook people in. The other things are a crafting system and art for the antagonist which recently i finished concepting so i just have to make portraits now, and Harold, an NPC in the starting area.

So I have decided that I will share that intro cinematic.

I'll post more as progress is made!

Thanks for clearing that up. Had no idea about EB! washing their hands from RM and Kadokawa being in charge of the makers now. And yeah, I've read plenty of really distressing comments in the Discords I frequent about RPG Maker MZ being nothing short of a half-baked disaster.

Also, that cinematic looks slick as as hell.

Ugh... My time is being SPLICED!!!!

I'm working on another Half Kaiser resource. I'm working on Short shorts! First the ladies's shorts first, with the men's later. I'm almost halfway done, but when you have a base sheet that holds frames for ALL possible poses, that is a lotta work.

And THEN ... I have a couple of software scripts in the works. The fun part (not) of any script writing is the writing of the instructions. I'm currently on line 279 or so in the instructions... EACH! Um, I'm also not even halfway into describing the systems...
