Did a little rework on my Audio Module Rewrite so I can end looping music, and allow for my own version of the 'event sound' method in View Range. I may be able to do a little more with the event sound system now.

And... been spriting a little on some robes for my characters.

I almost feel like splitting up my Player's Current Position Indicator system into 5 or more different systems, though I'm not sure if I should.

Let's see...

Hold Version
Toggle Version
Passability Version
Terrain Version
Constant Version
Any new versions I may come up with.

I've done a ton of little miscellaneous sprite updates, but can't quite get myself to do the animated battlers I've been trying to do. Anyways, I made a fancy little save indicator sprite (because of auto-save), wanted something that would flash across the screen and at least be readable. I've got a blue variation too but cba to gif it right now lol.

Oh yeah added the Japanese Kanji for kicks, not that my game is going to be in any way related to Japan. I got the characters by translating on bing, can somebody verify that it says "Now Saving" like its supposed to? Anyways, last day of vacation, I'm going to try and get more things done :D

It looks correct, "今すぐ節約" is now saving. :3

Looks like I've got my work cut out for me today, and some potential investors, weeeeee!

Legacy, are you sure about "今すぐ節約" ?
I thought the meaning of "節約" was "to spare money" or "to save time"...

I checked on a few games in Japanese, and they all use the English word "save" written in katakana : "セーブ"

RE: What's up, RMers? - Legacy - 03-23-2012

I believe it is correct, especially in the context used. Will double check that though.

Online translators don't do Japanese very well, so I'm not surprised if it doesn't say what its supposed to. Oh well, I'll update the sprite tomorrow.

Still slacking in the animation department, but I've made some new misc tileset stuff. Oh yeah, and updated an old alien sprite from long long ago and put it to motion. My avatar is the new version, I'll add a couple more 'tween frames to smooth out his idle pose. Anyways, below is what it looked like when I made it a couple years back.

Haha, sometimes I forget that I used to suck at pixel art in a serious manner. :X

Yeah, they do bite. But it's likely because it's a different syntax and its system can't make the better choices. I learned that once you get a base translation, that you have to re-read it and rewrite a paraphrased version to get what the poster intended. It may have something to deal with 'who' is posting too. One Japanese scripter I used to translate always gave me a headache while another was a breeze.

Ugh, I hate animation >.<

Just adding 1 extra frame to this alien's idle pose took nearly 2 hours, but most of it was obsessively nitpicking every last little pixel. Only thing left to do is that back leg but I have to work tomorrow and, well, whatever lol.

Anyways, off to bed!

I've been learning to sprite.
