I'm on a forced hiatus on Hartacon Tactics as I'm in China working all day every day. I found an artist who will probably make my character designs and we will use pre-rendered 3D models.
Cheers from Zhangjiagang.

Does that mean you need someone to watch your house? Laughing

Well, I'm more on the 'instruction writing' level for the crafting script... when I get the time. Then it's demo makin' time.

I am thinking about replacing my current battlesystem with whbm's Full-motion battle. I've actually grown quite fond of it and I don't see it beeing used that often. (Actually, I haven't seen it once, but maybe I didn't play enough games to know for sure XD) It takes a while to understand the setup but now that I do it shouldn't be hard to work with.
-Theoretically, that is. Reality informs me that I can't possibly make as many custom animated battlers/animations as I would need.
Oh well. My current system is fine as well =)

@yamina: thats exactly why i didn get into rm2k3, my eyes are way bigger than my stomach when it comes to a project.

i've started ramping up the Arbor's Eve facebook page. im going to start posting various bits of gaming news, reviews, editorials, and trying to hook up with other rm pages. this seems to be the only active rm board right now that's not full of immature drama and stupid members/staff, and im starting to think that the rm scene is dying. rm games don't get nearly as much attention as they used to, and a lot of people have just moved on from it. it disheartens me, because im not very good at 'real' art so rm is really my only creative outlet.

so cmon check out my fb page dont be ridiculous. /drederick tatum voice

switched tilesets?

got my game up on rpgmaker.net, the only other active board ive been able to find. ive found that next to nobody has played it, and it has 4 downloads. :( how can i get people to play it short of knowing them and asking them personally to play it?

Making an interesting thread about it? Making a trailer?
Put a link to it in your Signature?
People usually will play it if you make them curious =)

Combined a tilemap hue changing script (which I know exists but don't remember who wrote it) with... something... that does it by tile?

I wish.

Don't mind the mess up there in my last screenshot but this script I'm working on is supposed to let game makers make maps a little more aesthetically pleasing. You can add as many tile graphics as you want onto a particular tile and offset it by a few pixels or more while changing its angle/blend/color/hue/tone/zoom/mirror/opacity/etc.. The tiles that were added onto the map does not have any map data attached to it (passability, priorities, and such) so it's really meant to be used for decorative purposes.

so will it let the user have more than three layers in a way? thatd be good for making houses and stuff like that weed tile(?) in the upper left corner. are those even weeds?
