Set the menu button to something other than "B", play around with 360 controller and HDMI cable...
... it's like my game is on a console~!

Is it safe to say that I've gone off the deep end with my scripting ideas? I just threw images from the pictures directory into this script. I hope it rivals the "parallax mapping" technique.

Edit: Now I have truly gone off the deep end.

im almost finished my title screen and the intro, i need only some sprites for my placeholders and some
lil text corrections.
then i can begin with the first chapter, for which i got 90% of all maps allready.
but without the working job system i cant get very far, so i hope someone will help me out with that...

Whut.

Okay discovered a bug in ccoa's UMS for XP. The "branch" setting for "when cancel" in choice options just closes the menu, instead of processing the branch, continuing the event from after the choices.

Sadly I do believe ccoa has vanished off the face of the earth, or is at least no longer updating the script, so how am I ever going to fix this...

@Taylor: Are you certain the UMS is the cause for this? I am using it in one of my projects and it works just fine, I never encountered the bug you describe. ôo I made a quick test just now to be sure. Maybe you've set something up wrong? (That's often the reason when I find something is no longer working properly XD) There are a few glitches in the UMS but I belive the one you encountered isn't usually part of it.

While looking trough my project I realized that I suck at setting up puzzles XD' I should try to get some inspiration for at least a few special/interesting ones.

RE: What's up, RMers? - Taylor - 05-20-2012

I thought it might've been my messing around with it, I grew worried when the same bug was present in another project... then confused when it was in an entirely separate one attempted years ago.

I downloaded the demo from this forum, and lo, the bug was in the original there.

EDIT: I struggle with puzzles too. D:

Just made UGLM (unlimiited graphically layered maps) for Ace.

I can't wait to do more with it once I'm free.

I'll take a look at it when I can. I'm pretty familiar with it now since I'm using it myself. The person who originally hosted ccoa's demo let the server go down, so luckily I have 'em on my fileden account.

Oh, and ccoa is in DeviantArt now as (if I remember) GoddessCcoa... or something like that. She make nice jewelry. Blushing + Cheery

RE: What's up, RMers? - yamina-chan - 05-20-2012

@Taylor Maybe there's a bug in the version? As far as I know none of them are 100% glitchfree but I know at least that the bug you describe isn't in mine.
Then again, I just downloaded 'our' Demo and I still can't find the glitch you're talking about ôo *confused* Maybe it's a setup error? One of those didn't let me use a certain vehicle script for about a year or so, so I know it can happen because of something like it XD
If not...it's strange *laughgs*

RE: What's up, RMers? - Taylor - 05-20-2012

Strange... I just made a quick event in the demo.

A basic message, some replies in each branch, most importantly in When Cancel. Pressing cancel just skips what was in that branch, and goes to the message after it.
