SWF fix for Firefox 55 - lestat3179 - 08-28-2017 So, Firefox v55 has an issue with not wanting to load downloaded SWF files. This is a right pain for those who play Flash games. Found a solution for this issue on another forum, solution is as follows: UPDATE: Solution found to fix Firefox problem. Solution: There is a new security setting in Firefox 55 that supersedes everything else. Only SWF files retrieved on http:// or https:// addresses are played (not file://, ftp://, etc.). If you want to revert to the previous behavior: (1) In a new tab, type or paste about:config in the address bar and press Enter/Return. Click the button promising to be careful. (2) In the search box above the list, type or paste plug*ht and pause while the list is filtered (3) Double-click the plugins.http_https_only preference to switch the value from true to false Enjoy your offline SWF experience.
