PRODUCERS TO AVOID - DerVVulfman - 01-24-2019

Due to a youtube video that Bounty Hunter Lani provided at Save-Point.Org, I felt the need to create a thread in which to warn the community of those that seek to prey upon the gaming community.  By that, this is a list of producers and agents that steal from game developers.  And it is my hope that this will either prevent our community from being targeted and/or provide some measure of legal action and justice against those predators that have cost the community.

This topic, I hope, will be self-sustaining.  And I invite any to deliver a post that gives the name (or names) of the individuals preying upon our community, and a well-thought post detailing their actions.

So please, post away if you find a confirmed story about a producer to avoid.

GAMEWALL STUDIOS and their agent Eduardo Monteiro.

The most recent of incident with this studio came to light when game developers 'AmmoBox Studios' filed a DMCA action against their own game currently on Steam.  They had a contract with Gamewall Studios for the release of their game, Exemius.  This was after Gamewall, and their contact agent Eduardo Monteiro, made assurances on what appeared to be a solid contract with solid marketing strategies.  However, all funds garnered from the Steam release went solely to Gamewall's account with no funds ever making its way to AmmoBox.

AmmoBox Studios sought legal action against Gamewall, but legal fees to go after this UK-Based distributor was more than they could afford.  They already invested most of their funds into servers to maintain their online-play game, even losing salary pay to keep Exemius alive. Steam itself provided no help until AmmoBox filed the DMCA against their own game, with Steam transferring over the App ID key for the game to Ammobox itself.

AmmoBox wasn't the only developer that fell prey to Gamewall Studios.  By doing a search on the Steam Network, Gamewall also has a couple other games under their belt.  Most are no longer being updated by the developers, while one game entitled 'Slinki' eventually changed publishing when their contract expired.  One of the developers of Slinki relayed that they too fell prey to Monteiro and GameWall in 2014 as they attempted to enter the Portuguese Gaming Market.  However the contract's fineprint indicated that any disputes need be settled only within the UK court system, and they likewise couldn't afford the costs after their initial losses.

It appears that Eduardo Monteiro may be the sole actor within Gamewall Studios as the two game developers had nearly identical dealings and issues with both Gamewall and with Monteiro himself.

This is just one producer.  There are likely more that do the same.
