Is there a discord server available? - Kaiho - 05-27-2019 I use discord all the time and I'm new to this website. I'm just wondering if there's a discord server available. It would be nice to have one so I can quickly ask for help without waiting for hours. RE: Is there a discord server available? - kyonides - 05-27-2019 First of all none of us should expect that the others will get the chance to reply after a few minutes so being patient is a gift. Plus a quick answer might not be as helpful as expected... The internet age makes people get desperate in a few minutes if hours, before your best shot was to call someone or send them a telegraph or a letter. (And wulfo still seems to live in the cyber version of the Stone Age. ) It seems unlikely that the admins create a discord server or channel any time soon. Plus wulfo defends the existence of the IRC channel. And yeah, his internet connection is slow. I am not against discord but I am not it's fan. Sometimes people urging others to provide an urgent answer can be a real nuisance. I guess there are moments where taking advantage of a forum seemingly static nature seems to be a great asset whenever we are dealing with complex stuff. Besides did you already used the search bar to find your answer? RE: Is there a discord server available? - yamina-chan - 05-27-2019 Well, there is a chatroom. But no Discord, no. And even if there were, previous experiences with the likes of Skype tell me that you would still have that same wait time haha. RE: Is there a discord server available? - DerVVulfman - 05-28-2019 At the same time, lets consider this: People said: "IRC? Let's go and Skype!" Then pPeople said: "Skype? Let's go and get on Discord!" Really? Whatever.
