Forumers as Heroes and Villains - kyonides - 09-08-2019

So tell me, how would you look like if you were a fantasy or steam punk or oil punk or post apocalyptic or sci fi hero? Happy with a sweat
And what about becoming a villain there? Shocked
What features would make you some unique character in any of such settings? Confused
Or would you dare to end up as some sort of living NPC? Laughing

So far the only thing I can tell you for sure would be that I would become a lame villain for I am not as creative as it is demanded by such "job" and I am extremely lazy already. Laughing Let us see if I can get a better idea on how to be an unusual hero or some enigmatic villain in a couple of days or weeks. Laughing + Tongue sticking out

It is two thousand years later. Denizens of the underworld had bided their time until mankind went to war on itself, and took control of the weakened survivors. Using their science, they created living versions of their legendary nightmares; goblins, trolls, and orgres. And some of the enslaved humans, they altered into beasts to keep them under control. But the overlords were not immune to disaster, and their cities were laid waste by the wrath of the Earth itself.

That was a hundred years ago, and little of the overlord's existence remains except relics of their dark deeds and the some long lost tech now seen by most as magic. Seen by most, but not I. A descendent of the overlord's guards, my pack had struggled to live among the humans in peace. I work as a Perimeter, a guard who watches the town borders for anything encroaching. For while the overlords are gone, the horrors they brought forth remain.

After the collapse of Earth due to complete eco-system breakdown and the failure of Mars to sustain the huge influx of refugees, a last ditch effort to maintain humanity's very existence was actioned.

Known as the Seed project, massive ships, full of potential future beings were sent to planets thought to provide all the necessary to support life. On each of these ships was a hero, an android who stood guard, took care of the ship while in transit and protected the seeds of life as they grew on new planets. Each guardian was made to be both human and animal, taking the best from both and merging them to be a great warrior, nurturer and eventually, folklore.

As time went on, several of the seeded worlds formed a new alliance and the need for the guardians was no more. Gradually they were forgotten, left to roam their new worlds and sometimes beyond.

Once in a lifetime you may see one of them, if you are lucky. Know that even to this day, they protect us from the void.

To meet an eternal guardian is to meet a legend.

This is about the 'member' as a hero or villain. So... an android guardian. Does that make you a real METALRenard?

Yes, exactly. MetalRenard, derp. :P

After thinking about a way to describe my heroic persona... I ended up quite confused indeed. Why? Confused Because I believe that I might be a weird combination of personalities I have watched on TV or online. I don't mean I'm a Joker of sorts, it's just that something I'd go through a Sub captain Yamamoto (does that rank even exist? Confused ), a Captain Tyler and an Admiral Mifune stages one after another in any order, sometimes it might even happen in a single day. Sad Yeah, sometimes I also make stupid comments a la Slayers' Gourry Gabriev (anime version) not because I'm plain stupid but ignorant of several details important for judging a situation correctly... or I just do that on purpose taking advantage of a given person's arrogance. Laughing Yeah, I could really say I'm complicated even if that amazes anybody, including your servitor. Confused
