Save-Point Will Grow This Year - Kain Nobel - 01-12-2023 I'm projecting that Save-Point is going to grow by 15% or more this year which has much to do with these following factors...
The problem with RPGMakerWeb isn't RPGMakerWeb itself; that place is great! The problem is, with all the other sites perishing, entire communities have shifted there. There are people there that I recognize which would normally never post at RPGMakerWeb otherwise; they didn't start posting there until their "home" site was "foreclosed" on. Also, RPGMakerWeb focuses on the trendy newest thing (and rightfully so, especially for business reasons - so I don't blame them) and sidelines the old school developers (unintentionally, I'm sure.) Well, Save-Point fills that niche in a big way. (Just to disclose, I'm proudly a member of RPGMakerWeb as well, so I have nothing but love for everybody there. However, Save-Point is home for me.) There is no hard analytics or data science I'm basing this off of, just personal observations and projections. I'll have to check back in a year and see how well this ages :P From a technical standpoint, this place is especially great for the old school developers who still use Ruby engines. At the same time, there is no alienation factor towards the users of the newer engines, it is all welcome. We may be a RPG Maker focused site, but everybody is welcome to showcase their work no matter what engine it is built in or what the genre of the game is. The only thing we don't tolerate is drama, spam and plagiarism - and rightfully so! Take care and happy game making! |
