General Chat
As always, there is oh much News of the World hit this week, and so little time to read it. This beginning as Congress holds Impeachment inquiries into DHS Mayorkas over the border just now having received 16K chinese migrants in a matter of months, and into its own Defense secretary for hiding his hospitalization from even the White House. And U.S. President Biden's son will soon be the subject of a contempt of congress vote. Despite military provocations, Taiwan now has President William Lai who opposes CCP rule. But despite a defense treaty with Taiwan, U.S. President Biden voiced "We do not support independence", a statement now supporting China instead. Again, illegal immigration is still a world-wide problem. But while German Chancellor Scholz is against deporation, France was caught hiding the sheer number of illegal crossings, and thousands of U.K.'s asylum seekers claiming to be children were found to be adult-age. And Finland cowed to keep their Russian border closed. For those that remember that it was ISIS that bombed the Qasem Soleimani’s Tomb last week, Isis announced it would hunt down the conspirators. Meanwhile, attacks continue in the Red Sea as U.S. and U.K. struck back against Iran Backed Houtis. Even India had sent ships to the Red Sea to combat the Houtis. And while Hamas had just been pressured to accept medical supplies to the hostages they took, it was uncovered that schools in the Gaza Strip were educating children for Jihad; books supplied by the Palastinian Authority while the UNRWA (United Nations Relief Works Agency for Palestinian Refugees) adminstered the schools. Indeed, the United Nations is itself a part. More political upheavel hit this week as police in Poland entered the Presidential Palace to arrest the former government ministers. After several Chinese ministers have mysteriously disappeared, Xi Jinping vowed to use the Communist Party's discipline agency to purge more. And more Chinese spies have been found in the U.K. in violation of the Official Secrets Act of 1911. An attorney prosecuting former President Trump may face disqualification and investigation over charges of corruption, a former Obama Administration official blasting Biden over the border crisis, 178 civilians held hostage amid the Ecuador Gang War, the possible theft of $1 Billion in Ukraine Aid, Frederik X's ascention to the Danish throne, Putin's nuclear red line and so much more hit this week's news.

Tech Talk
As before, A.I. forms the beginning of this week's News of the Cyber World as Judges in the U.K. have now been given approval to use A.I. in writing legal opinions, but have been given fair warning not to use A.I. for research as content returned by such technology may be and has been found in some instances as erroneous and/or biased. And warming relations between Israel and the Arab nations within the Abraham Accords, the UAE announced it will be opening a new Open AI research center in Israel. It was bad news for Apple as they began paying out the settlement over the 2020 Multi-Million Dollar lawsuit that proved they intentionally slowed down older products, forcing users to upgrade. And hackers found they can gain access to Google accounts through third-party cookies, particularly dangerous to Google Chrome users. Protecting themselves, TikTok is now restricting use of a research tool used to analyze social media content, particularly after being criticized for pushing biased content regarding the Israel-Hamas war and censoring content critical of China. And layoffs hit it big with Discord, Twitch, Amazon and particularly Google with its union fighting back against 'needless'.

For anyone thinking their Apple AirDrops were save, Chinese Hackers working for the Chinese Communist Party and their authorities boast that the encryption has been broken. This done to prevent so-labeled inappropriate content, while a Chinese Foreign Ministry official justifies that all phone companies operating in China must adhere to its laws and regulations.

Games Development
Development Discussion
Earlier this week, kyonides's inquiry about the purchase of an online graphic resource was Whats Up in his RMing endeavors. But his inquiry about its value was sidetracked by a discussion between DerVVulfman and Remi-chan, one focusing about the number of available resources and variety while she about the artstyle. However, Remi-chan did state her hijacking the post was more an effort to show her aversion to the artwork while simultaneously taking a break from working on her game's extensive menu system.

Material Development
Scripts Database
Early this week, kyonides now gifted the users of RPGMaker XP the KustomShop script, a system that lets the end user customize their default-styled shop/store system as they see fit, even towards having some features randomized. There were some issues early on as reported by Melana, but were quickly repaired and upgraded.

Resources Database
It has been a long time coming, but we now have Victor SenArt, a new thread for artwork drops by Victor Sena. His first post is a link to his Itch.io page that offers his first batch for free. A collection of RPGMaker VXAce formatted graphics, be it faceset, icons or charactersets ranging from the more mundane to Vash the Stampede and Captain America.

Music and Audio
Nearing his tenth anniversary, Eric Matyas continues to Share His Original Music and Sound. So if anyone wished to make games that heralded back to the 80s, the recent compositions are for you. A thoughtful melody entitled "Contemplation in the Castle" may be used for a scenario of deep thought or for exploring unseen castle walls. And his second composition, "The Landing", is more in tune with 80s mid-budget movies such as "Return of the Living Dead" or "A Nightmare on Elm Street" for horror movies, or "Scanners" or "The Hidden" for science-fiction productions, minus the rock music accompaniment.

Well, that's it for this week.

"By the time someone says, ‘To make a long story short,’ it’s too late." - Don Herold (1889-1966)
